There’s a miniature animation festival in town and it starts today 
Today’s line-up is
HotShorts 1 - 80 mins of new short animations, then a masterclass - ‘Barty On Burton’, a student who graduated
from the college I’m at was a seamstress on the Corpse Bride, so she’s going to talk about that experience and
then introduce a screening of the film, Animation in the 50s - a look at vintage animation, and finally a film
called Nyocker (The District) which won best animated feature at the KROK festival (Ukraine) and at Ottowa AIFF -
so I’m definitely looking forward to seeing it 
I’m going to most of the events - it’s on from today
until Saturday, but I will have to miss some of the ones on Saturday when I’m at work, which means I’ll miss
the screening of Ryan and the masterclass Chris Landreth is giving on it 
I’ve seen Ryan before, but it is
awesome, so…
