PV's fan art ~~=oP

Oh my lord, that’s… that’s just fantastic, PV . I was right when I said you had talent unlike anything I’ve seen before. Oh man, was I ever right! Heheh.

Most impressive!

Very nice, PV! It really does look just like him!

Really good. I thought it was a photo…

PV: You are ridiculously brilliant! Lenny looks wonderful. You ought to be proud of yourself. Wonderful work.

PV - That looks absolutely fantastic, dude. I’ll see you at Pixar. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here are some Family Guy style character sketches for gags I will animate soon:

Lightning McQueen

I sketched him without any paintjob details just to practice the outline of his frame.

Bob, Helen, and Dash Parr

I didn’t sketch Violet and Jack-Jack because they won’t be included in this gag.

 Oh, cool! They look very Family Guy-ish. I am very intrigued to what you are going to do with the characters in your FG fanimation, now.

I really like it PV Lightning, Bob, Helen, and Dash are amazing. One suggestion though. I think Helen’s hair seems a little off.

Thanks, but, how so? And while I ask, keep in mind the transition to a style like this won’t always be perfect. :stuck_out_tongue: Exaggeration may even occur.

Personally, I think the hook on Helen’s hair might be a little to big. I think it might be better if it is shrunk a little.

I wanna thank iza for getting me hooked on gouache.

For those of you who don’t already know, Tony Goat is based on Tony Rydinger, hence the title of the piece. ;-p

Loving the style of this piece, PV! It’s both scruffy and neat at the same time. Very sweet!

PV - Your style of art really seems to agree with the gouache medium! Great composition, PV!

Everytime I see something from ya PV, you always blow me out of my seat. Nice work girl!

What more can I say? You’ve inspired me to new heights yet again, PV . Words can’t describe how amazing your artwork is to me. It’s just spetacular, awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping talent from a gifted individual.

That’s wicked! I love the range of colours in the junk pile. I really like this medium - you should use it more, PixarVixen.

I just joined this forum as soon as I had found it (which is today), and the hopped over to the fan art category to review everyone’s artwork. Suffice it to say, you’re the best artist – espec. one capable of animating – on this board! If anyone here, you deserve a seat in Emeryville, CA. Every sketch is full of character, and your posters are clever enough to be published by Disney. A storyboard artist if I ever saw one!

I’m taking a trip to a hobby store and am in desperate need of some good pens. I was wondering what you would recommend? And I happen to be deprived of photoshop, illustrator, freehand… you name it, I’m using it as a borrowed tutorial. If I were to invest in the gold standard of finishing my drawings via computer, what would I buy? Photoshop? Or Maya (for animating)?

You’re a huge talent – keep aiming for the dream job!

~Sarah

WOW, PixarVixen! Amazing! I love it! I absolutely LOVE it! Especially the Violet/Tony ones. Sheer brilliance. You’re definitely one of my favorite artists here on PP. You and Haunt. I love your style, clean and precise. You think you could give me some tips on how to improve my work? Please? If you’d like you could check out my art page- simply titled, well, “Violet’s Art Work.” If you get the chance, would you, please, check it out? It would mean a lot to me to get your opinion. Thanks.

NO WAY! You have ALL the mini comics?! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/youwhaaa.gif” alt=“o_0;;” title="You

Whaaa…" /> WOW! I’ve only got 5. How many are there? Is there anywhere I could go to read them or something? Because I loved those comics.

I have no idea if anyone has told you this recently, PixarVixen, but your art is so awesome! The realistic-style Remys are my faves, and I love the teen Dash drawings; you do an excellent job!
