Quoting Pixar

Well, right now I’m in the midst of a thunder an’ lightning storm. And as we were were all going WOW! (they are about 10-20 feet from our large window) it gave me the chance to say “ehh, nice flash though” in my Hamm voice of course.

So, does anybody else have times when they quote a line from a Pixar charachter, or director or just anything or anyone from Pixar really, that fits with what’s going on at the time. You know, that kind of thing…

I also often use Mr. Potato Heads “Gettin’ kinda’ tense aren’t ya’” during an argument.

Me and my brother do it ALL THE TIME, from ANY movie or show.

I often say this when I’m doing something that takes a whole lot of patience.
“You Can’t Rush Art.”-Toy cleaner, Toy Story 2

Oh, good point Pixel Candy, I do it with a lot of stuff other than Pixar. But, you know since we are on Pixar Planet… Could you say one you use often?

I know I do this often, but now as I’m trying to remember…well, in the Pixar Caption Game thread, when the number of people participating went down, I quoted Dory saying “COME BA-A-A-A-A-ACK!” because it sounded desperate.

another one…hmm…oh, I told a mini-mystery brain teaser to someone and when he was stumped, and I told the answer, I couldn’t help but add, “Because thunder always comes before lightning”, a quote from Lightning McQueen in Cars. (You probably wouldn’t get it unless I told you the details)

I also hear it from other people.
When practicing volleyball skills, my coach says to act like the seagulls in Finding Nemo, yelling out “Mine!”
What a coincidence is that in science, my teacher explained the food chain and said that in their head, the seagulls are going “Mine Mine mine!”

Oh, another one I just remembered is that when my friend started eating, I asked, “What is that?” and she said, “I don’t know.”
Guess what I said next- a quote from Ratatouille’s teaser trailer: "You don’t know, and you’re eating it.

Well, I find myself saying “Showtime” everytime I go on the stage to perform. It is my way of saying “here we go” like Mr. Incredible’s.

A lot of times I say, “Just keep swimming,” but especially when I’m literally swimming.

Oh the last time someone said that to me, I got so annoyed. But then again, me and most of my friends tend to annoyp people with frequent chants of MINE!!!

I would say “KA CHOW!” for a little while there. XD

Oooh, Ka-Chow! What for Netbug? Just curious.

Mee too, Netbug009! :astonished:

But mine’s still here. Ka-chow! K-k-k-k-k-chow!!! :sunglasses:

I absolutely love saying “Ah, but that is no match for wishful thinking!” in my best French accent.

I’m starting to say “Whoa” like “Whuo!” like WALL•E. XD

Speaking of whoa, I was on a trip to florida and it was my friend’s first time on a plane. He felt sick, so I told him, "First you were like Whoa (scared), then you were like whoa (seeing how high we were), then you were like whoooooa (sick), last you were like whoa (relieved that it was over).

TSS: Whoa! :astonished: You so totally rock!

EDIT: You so totally rock…dude! :sunglasses:

Well, it was kinda clever at the moment. Most of my other friends thought it was clever.

I quote all kinds of things all the time. I write down quotes that I think are funny or meaningful and I bring them up whenever I feel. “Quotes for all occasions” I call it. Probably at least a third of what I say is a quote from something else. (“Hence” the reason I use quotes in my sig. It’s part of who I am) If you want something specifically Pixar for an example, here’s 3 from Nemo that I use quite often, cuz it’s just the way I am  :

“It’s alright, it’ll be okay”
“No, no it wont”

“How do you know??? How do you know something bad isnt gonna happen???”

“My nerves cant take much more of this”

I admit to sometimes sneaking an, ‘uh huh, sure’ in every now and then, in honour of Randall. ‘Just keep swimming’ always comes up- even my friends use it as a quote. Also, saying ‘you - are - a - TOY! You are a child’s plaything!’ can be fun, but it’s difficult to slot it into normal conversation.

I know i find my friends (maybe its coincidence) saying a lot of Pixar quotes in improv games we play at school.

Well, I often quote Finding Nemo, especially Dory. Like “Can I help you?” or the Whale scene. Sometimes, I pretend that I can’t remember things, just like her. And I call boats “butts”^^

But I quote other Pixar movies very seldom. Often I pronounce “Ratatouille” like Linguini when he was drunk and I often say at dinner “Shut up and eat your garbage”, even then when my father (my mother eats inner later) has finished his meal. And I often (if not always) I say “Nopity nopity no”.
