Ramone (Spoiler) question

That

makes a lot of sense, they’d have those awkward phases like normal kids do…Imagine a small sized car with full

sized fenders. I bet Maters Grill was upgraded first.

BTW that theory sounds a lot like the movie

“Robots”

I don’t know about baby

cars in “Cars,” because Sally is like a 2001 Porsche, but she doesn’t act like a 5-year-old… at

least, no 5-year-old I know is an attorney… plus, Doc is a '51 Hudson Hornet, and he won the Piston Cup that

year. Wouldn’t a brand-new car be driving around cooing baby talk, instead of being a "precision instrument

of speed and aerodynamics"?

Just my two cents; take them for what you will.

Those are such interesting questions.
I think we should

open a thread about the age of the Cars.

Now you mention it, I think that’s where I came up with the lug

nuts as the currency idea…

That’s very true…Maybe there is no childhood

stage.

I don’t

think there is a childhood stage in the Cars world. New cars come from the factory all “grown up”. At

least that’s how I imagine it.

I’d joined a Cars fansite in order to get my Pixar fix before Pixar Planet was created, and from the

discussions that were had there on this topic, my view is that “baby cars” do come from a factory and

all and get upgrades and stuff (much in the same was as Robots, as Schilly pointed out), but that the model year

represents the year that the car reaches maturity, which I’m going to say is 18 years old. So Doc, being a '51

Hornet, would have been manufactured in 1933, '02 Sally in 1984, etc. They thus seem to us to be incredibly

ahead of their time for their manufacture dates, but just remember, things are different in the Cars universe.

It also explains how Doc could have won his first Piston Cup in '51, but Lightning still be vying to

be the first rookie champion: Doc, being such an amazing racing prodigy, went pro at least one year before he

reached 18 years (happens all the time in sports, not that much of a stretch) but wasn’t able to win his first

championship until he was 18.

And The Loner, you said that you think "new cars come from the factory

all ‘grown up.’" I actually thought that for a while, too, but then I realized, hey, what about that

little baby car in the stands with the fighter jet toy? I actually probably would still be of that opinion

myself, if it weren’t for that one five-second clip, but instead that theory’s kinda shot down; sorry.

Hmm, I never thought of that

car as a baby … but maybe you’re right.
They really should make a “Cars 2” so we can get to know

more about this intriguing world of cars!!

I wouldn’t mind that!

Yeah, Pixar have left so much for us to wonder about, they really do need to make a

Cars 2.

HOW CAN YOU PEOPLE NOT THINK OF THIS !!

the cars age faster than us ,

kind of like dogs and cats and rats .
the only way you would see a 50 year-old car right now is if it were at

an antique car road show or if someone old still has there 1st car .

But that’s in our world, and the main reason why we

don’t see such old cars is because they haven’t been looked after properly, or they’ve been deemed safety

hazards and have therefore been destroyed. In the Cars world, cars would look after themselves, and so there

would be fifty year old cars on the road. Doc Hudson is actually an example of this.

(living) Cars, a

mystery to mankind, well guess we’re going to have to ask them our selfs (if they were REAL) we

humans sure ask the car specices a lot of questions. :-D)
