Rank?...

I was a newbie some time ago. Now I’m an ant…(what’s with “ant”)…

Does the “rank” have to do with my post number or my joined time?

Well, in most forums (or at least forums I know of), the “rank” stands for the standard of your postage. As you can see, as you post more often, your rank changes, or what I would like to call, “rises.” Hence, the more you post, the better of a rank you would receive! Of course, if you simply post pointless posts out of the desire of gaining a decent rank, you’re pretty much under the rank of “noob.”

I’m still a newbie though…

do you know the standards of each rank?

Well, it’s pretty much self-explanatory. Being a “Newbie” means you are new, being an “Ant” means you are on your way in becoming somebody in the community. As I said, the standards grow bigger as you post more often (within reason), and to be honest, you and I still have a lot to post before the term, “standard” can be used on us. :frowning:

Not anymore, WBoon. xD

Yes, it’s based on your total number of posts, even if they’ve been deleted and/or combined. xD Here’s a list for you, but please don’t start posting unnecessarily just so you’ll get a higher rank. If you’re in a special group, you won’t belong in any of these.

5000+ Super Hero
2000-4999 Piston Cup Champion
1000-1999 Master Scarer
500-999 Toy Collector
200-499 Garbage Boy
100-199 Mutant Toy
50-99 Shark Bait
10-49 Ant
0-9 Newbie

What I don’t get is the “Garbage Boy” rank if you’re female. I wonder what the WALL•E rank will be…maybe “Buy n Large Robotics Engineer”.

THe more you visit and post here at PP, the higher you will go. Sooner or later, you shall reach the Super Hero level. It is possible.

thnx.

Sylvermagykan: yw.

A113- Yeah, I can’t wait to see the new WALL-E rank (even though I’m sure it hasn’t been thought up yet.) I suggest, Captain, or Waste Allocation Load Lifter, or Misfit Robot… yeah Misfit Robot sounds like a good choice.

Captain sounds good, although I think [spoil]The Captain is just a minor character[/spoil], and might even be only a rumor.

I’d place “Buy n Large Robotics Engineer” at 1500-1999, placing “Master Scrarer” at 1000-1499.

A113- Captain is not a rumor, Jeff Garlin confirmed it himself. Anyways, BnL Robotic Engineer sounds cool, but I’m gonna have to say that they don’t exist, [spoil]remember, the humans are lazy blobs, the robots would be the engineers[/spoil].

[spoil]Actually, the Buy n Large Corporation turned everyone into fat, lazy blobs, meaning they’re the only workers, right? Well, I’ll just wait for the film to come out.[/spoil] xD

[spoil]No EVERYONE is a blob, the work is done by robots, I read that somewhere, it was a reliable source so I’ll believe it.[/spoil]
Back on topic.

wait…

what is wall-e?

is it a movie or something…

cause i’ve never heard of it.

Sorry, Sylvermagykan but…
WHAT?
Are you kidding, that’s Pixar’s next movie.
Edit: For future reference Pixar’s next few movies are WALL-E (2008), Up (2009), and Toy Story 3 (2010).

Sylvermagykan: Actually, it’s spelled WALL•E, and it’s Pixar’s next film, coming out on June 27, 2008. It’s about [spoil]mankind leaving Earth because of all the damage they have caused to it, mainly garbage. The Buy n Large Corporation sends millions of robots to Earth to clean up, while mankind is temporarily stationed on the AXIOM, a gigantic planet-like spaceship. Meanwhile, back on Earth, all the robots but one stopped cleaning, and that last robot is WALL•E. He keeps cleaning each day, but eventually develops a personality and becomes lonely.[/spoil] But all that is about to change… :sunglasses:

okay…

where does pixar get all these crazy ideas?

I’m not saying there bad, but first there’s a [spoil]rat controlling a human by pulling on his hair[/spoil], then [spoil]a robot getting feelings[/spoil]?!!!

I can’t believe those people.

o, and by the way, how do you get the dot thingy in wall-e?

You are a Pixar fan, right? I assume so since you’re on these boards.

And as for the dot thing, I’m sorry, I honestly can’t remember. Someone wrote a little tutorial as to how to do it, though.

Are you being sarcastic?
Anyways you can type Alt+ 0149 (on the number pad).
