I sent Mitch a PM after I found this out. Heheh, I’m surprised she hasn’t mentioned it yet, or for that matter, anyone . In any case, here’s the information:
Ratatouille has recently ended its run in theaters.

So… the cheese has finally grown stale… okay, that was a terrible joke on my part. My apoligies in advance.
Actually, it’s still playing in a few theatres in the US – at least as of a couple days ago. Movies in the US change on Fridays usually, and I haven’t checked this weekend, but as of last week, it was still playing at a couple of local “dollar cinema” places ($2 or $3 movie houses that play movies that have been out for a while). Of course this isn’t a lot of money as far as Box Office Mojo is concerned, but this in itself is amazing – that there was an audience enough to keep it going for at least a month after the release on home video.
In the end, I’m very glad that Ratatouille had good box office, but of course box office doesn’t mean anything about quality (just look at “Iron Giant’s” poor box office). Still, it’s good to know that it did well – and that just about everyone has showered the movie with acclaim.
