Ratatouille Cast

What do you guys think about th cast for

Ratatouille?

I was just looking at the Ratatouille page on IMD (Internet

Movie Database) and they took off David Schwimmer from being in the movie, that?s weird.

Hmm, that is strange…He is a pretty big celebrity, so changing his status

wouldn’t be taken lightly.

Either he’s out of the project (really doubt it) or

somebody just adjusted the cast list for the fun of it

Yeah, that is strange. Perhaps they just forgot to put him

in there. It’s highly unlikely that they did, but you never know…

As for the cast, I think that

Pixar did a great job of choosing the right actors to play the parts.

Patton

Oswalt - He’s absolutely perfect as Remy.

Brian Dennehy - I

am not familiar with Mr. Dennehy at all. Judging by how he played his role so hilariously in the trailer though,

I’m not too worried with how he will perform in the actual Ratatouille film.

David Schwimmer - I never thought of picking him to play the part of

“Rollie”, but it sure works! Hopefully, he will continue to provide his voice talents in the final

picture.

Janeane Garofalo - Interesting choice. I only know her from the

film Titan A.E. (she did the voice for the character Stith), so I really can’t

judge on whether or not she will be suitable for her role.

Ian Holm - Agan,

an interesting choice, and an excellent one as well. Being a veteran in the acting business, I’m sure that Mr.

Holm will have no trouble providing a voice for a company such as Pixar. I’m rather curious as to who he’ll

play; Remy’s grandfather, perhaps?

Adam Scott - Adam Scott is yet

another actor whom I am unfamiliar with. Should he indeed prove to provide a voice for the film, I’ll probably

never forget his name after Ratatouille is released. :stuck_out_tongue:

So, there you have

it. As none – or most – of us are one hundred percent certain on who will stay in the film and who won’t,

there will most certainly be plenty of speculations concerning the actors until the movie comes out.

i never thought he was coming in, Pixar never usually use

huge names to make their animation works great…like a certain other animations

company

Hey wait a minute. Where is John Ratzenburger?

He has got to be mentioned in there somewhere.

luxo: It’s not that Pixar doesn’t use huge names (I would call

Tom Hanks a huge name…), it’s that they don’t use huge names for the sake of using huge names, like a certain

other animation company…

I had a dream yesterday and it was about

work.

Yeah Kyrie, that’s what I was trying to say.

Pixar justs looks for the perfect voice role for

the movie. Some times, it can be as big as Samuel Jackson. Other times, unknowns are used such as Sarah Vowell

(even though she is big to me now) and Spencer Fox.

Hmm… since when was David

Schwimmer officially announced as a member of the

Ratatouille cast in the first place? Enlighten me if I’m mistaken, but I’ve always

thought that Schwimmer’s inclusion in the cast list was only speculative in nature. In other words, some guy in

Wikipedia caught up with the rumour and decided to edit the Ratatouille page there,

without any citations. And since IMdB can also be edited by a considerably large number of people, someone else

edited that particular site to include David Schwimmer. Anyway, I may be just blabbing ceaselessly and

pointlessly, but I don’t believe David Schwimmer has ever been officially confirmed as a cast member.

Haha…it took me a while to

get your joke, but it finally made sense after a while.

Check this out both Wikipedia and IMDb have changed and added more

characters and names too the Ratatouille cast again:

Ratatouille IMDb

Ratatouille Wikipedia

I think

all this happed overnight.

Well, they’ve still got Schwimmer on Wikipedia…But it seems to me that if one site changes

its details, they all change their details, so they’re not completely reliable.

lizardgirl: Yeah they can put who ever they want to on the Ratatouille cast but we

won?t know for sure until a few month.

I still trust Wikipedia more than IMDB,

that site just talks utter rubbish sometimes.

I don’t know who to trust.

JV (on the Ratatouille cast):

Hmm…that’s interesting. I could certainly go with the possibility that Ian Holm will play Remy’s grandfather

(which is what I speculated in the first place), and Janeane Garofalo’s newly-named character could also be

official. However, I’m not quite so sure about some of those other names (Vermin and Verminin, specifically).

I’m rather suspicious of those two…

Okay. I just checked the “history” section

of Wikipedia’s Ratatouille page, and the new character names (e.g., Verminin) were

added by a registered Wikipedia user.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t really tell us anything since anyone

can also register for a Wikipedia account. In other words, I have no idea if all this is true or not.

CountSolo: True…true. It could have been some “geek on the street” who

invented those names, or it could be an executive from Disney/Pixar Studios.

Until more official

information about the film is released, we may never know.
