“featurette: animation meetings”
I MUST SEE THIS AGDHASGAU. So wait, what 2-disc DVD is this on? Is it from some other country so I won’t be able to play it, or what?

This is a bonus feature of the German Blu-ray release, it is not present on any DVD release. And keep in mind that so far there has not yet been an announcement that the German Blu-ray will even include an audio commentary, like the US Blu-Ray version…
Jeez… it all could have been so easy. Here is what the folks at Disney should have released everywhere, around the globe:
COME ON!!!
I’m glad that we will get a 2 Disc DVD in Austria.
But why can’t they include the French version?
Do I really need to import a French DVD to watch it in this language?
Don’t get me wrong, I am also glad to get a 2-disc version, but I still don’t approve of the overall way this release was handled.
Especially the Japanese DVD is a joke, and a rather bad one at that.
Looks like it now really pays off to have a codefree DVD player that supports both NTSC and PAL.
As for the French audio, I am really surprised they did not include that instead of the redundant German DD 2.0 track.
But then again, both the English version and the German dub are so totally awesome that I won’t complain. ![]()
Well, I just saw it yesterday and not to long ago. So this makes it 3 straight days. Everytime, it makes me hungry. I want to pop it back in and watch it again, but I think, maybe not, I’ll famish myself.
Are you going to keep count of how many times you saw it, TSS? ![]()
I’m pretty sure that Disney will not release an extras-packed 2-disc DVD version in a market that they are pushing the Blue-Ray version in (barring special agreements with, say, Target, etc).
It pisses me off a bit that Disney is moving features traditionally associated with the DVD to the Blue-Ray version instead in an attempt to push people into buying Blue-Ray players. Disney is pretty heavily-invested into Blue-Ray, and has been fighting for BR over HD-DVD harder than any other movie studio. ![]()
Well, I have only seen it for about 3 times. It is easy to keep count, but once I loose count, I’ll stop.
RMS- Oooh, yay! That’s awesome! Thanks for the information! ![]()
Oh awesome! If you guys get commentary, or even just more special features than the US 1-disc (which it looks like you will), then I suspect a lot of people from this forum will be purchasing that UK 2-disc version. Thank God for the Internet! ![]()
The DVD comes in France in February 1st with 3 versions : A simple version, A collector’s version and a Blu-Ray’s version
The Collector’s box is in metal.
Thanks for that, Kevin!
Do you know if the French collector’s edition comes with a commentary?
The DVD is also coming out in Mars at the Date 28.06.2700. Its also going to be on Red-Ray as well.
Unfortunately, no.
Here is some info on the German DVD and BR release
out on Febuary 14

Welcome Great Guido! You joined at last ![]()
I put a translation up of the bonus features on the 2-disc edition courtesy of your PDF on Upcoming Pixar, but Google Translator is a bit funny sometimes, so perhaps you could provide a better translation some time?
Welcome to PP once again ![]()
I like Germany’s Blu-Ray Ratatouille cover, better than the US/Australian covers.
Thanks for that, guido. ![]()
bawpcwpn - Thank you for translating the list of bonus features mentioned from German to English. ![]()
I’m thinking of purchasing one when it hits the shelves. Hmmm…
