Thanks for that, JV!
Beautiful scene. You can view an even larger
version of this image via this link:
slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/ ⊠ishuge.jpg
Iâm not sure if this works
on all computers, but if you move your cursor over the picture and keep it there for a couple of secondsâŠyou
should see a little box pop up in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Click on that
andâŠâbam!â, the image will be magnified to an even greater extent.
One thing I love about
this shot is the attention to detail â not only on the scenery/view itself, but on Remy. He has a little touch
of fur on his ears, which is typical of most rats. I also love how the animators got the light to shine through
Remyâs ears, giving it a glowing effect (which is common in all 3-D films, but is still fun to observe).
Yeah all you have
to do on the image I put up is click on it and itâs as big as yours Mitch. That little box that pop up in the
bottom right-hand corner does the same for me to.

Wow, that is absolutely Gorgeous! Look at that city skyline!
whistles You know how long it took them to create that! Man, oh man!
Heheh,
Mitch, good obsevation! The ears have a nice, organic feelâŠ
Pixar is just
amazing, just amazing! â Iâm sure thatâs been said before - but to think that was created inside a
computerâŠ
Wow!
Gosh, that is gorgeous! I could
stare at that picture for hours!

Zwollie from the Animated News forums points out that the spot right under Gusteau?s is the spot of where
the Japanese trailer takes
place.

No, itâs not. There are a lot of bridges in Paris. Donât think itâs the same spot because itâs
a bridge over the Seine. Moreover, I think we could see the Notre-Dame Cathedral in the screenshot if it was the
same place. And donât forget that Linguini catches Remy in Gusteauâs, and then comes to the "trailer
spot" on a bicycle. So it would be a little further than that.

JV - Oh â pfff. Youâd have thought I would have tried clicking
on your picture first. Heheh â oh well. At least the little box thing works for you, too!

Gasduude - Heheh â thanks! After youâve lived with rats for four or five
yearsâŠyou come to recognize a few things when you see 'em.
And yes, youâre absolutely right: Pixar is
simply incredible when it comes to story, character, and especially detail. Thereâs a reason it takes them 4-5
years to make just one movie. (snigger)
Archibald - Hey yeah, I never
realized those subtle little facts before. Thanks for correcting us. I surmise that Linguini just rode a little
further down the Seine then?

Alright guys, here is what Iâm talking about:
Now
this is just my sister and I all over. The expression; the whole look. Ka-blam!
I absolutely love this screenshot to bits.

I
canât see that image!
What is it about (besides Paris)?

JV - Oh yeah, I love that shot, too.

Maggie_PixarFan - If you are referring to the picture
JV provided, it is a shot of Remy on a rooftop looking out over the city of
Paris.
Ah, beautiful Paris France. It is such an incredible view. And From the pic, it is safe to say that Remy
loves the view.
Hello
This is my
first post on this forum. Please forgive me my bad englishâŠ
As for âthe bridge issueâ I have
to say (after a little research) that Iâm almost sure that the bridge shown in Japanese trailer is actually Le
Pont-au-Double.
Here is a picture of actual
place:
pariswater.com/ponts/audouble.JPG
And here are coordinates from Google Earth

48?51â9.05"N
2?20â54.13"E
Maybe some Parisian could verify this little
âdiscoveryâ ?
Whatâs more - after a little more investigation Iâve marked the place where
Gusteauâs should have been found
48?51â30.43"N
2?19â55.98"E
Quite a long
distance to simply get rid of a rat - apparently Linguini felt like heâs commiting a crime if he was looking for
this misty place under smaller bridge where no-one could see him
By the way - I donât know if it was
mentioned already but Linguini like a Ratatouille is a kind of meal

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linguine
Kaszubas- Firstly, welcome
to Pixar Planet!
Secondly, some nice finds there! Yeah, Linguini mustâve been feeling pretty guilty
about it all, so he made sure to find a bridge quite far away so that no-one could see what he was doingâŠEven
though killing a rat in France wouldnât be considered a bad thingâŠBut, then again, if he were somewhere that
was busy, then people might sort of expect him to kill Remy, so heâd be more under pressure. Under a bridge with
no-one about, it gave him a chance to release Remy, even if that wasnât what he consciously planned to do in the
first place.
Also, yeah, itâs pretty cool that Linguini is also a dish! I guess it sort of shows that
even though a rat and a human are very, very different, they can have similarities- Remy and Linguini are bound
by their love of food (even if one of them isnât very good at cooking!)
Thanks Lizardgirl
Honestly I doubt if
killing or even harassing helpless animals in public has something in common with political correctness these
days

I pity da fool who views this thread and doesnât have
broadband!
I love that high-res picture, though. Especially Remyâs see-through ears.
Kaszubas : Yes, the bridge in the Japanese Trailer is
Le Pont-au-Double ; and you also found the place where
Gusteauâs should have been : on the south side of
Pont du Carrousel

RC1985 - Well I do! And it isnât actually that
badâŠ

Kaszubas - Hey yeah â thatâs interesting. Nice
speculation!
Personally, I donât know how anybody could drown/kill a ratâŠor any animal for that
matter. Good thing Linguini had a change of heartâŠ
And welcome to Pixar
Planet, by the way!
By the way, I found this apparent
âblooperâ some time back:

No seriously, I kid you not. Itâs rather
difficult to see when the video is playing at normal speed, but once you pause the thing in the right spotsâŠyou
can see what I mean. This proves how much my sister and I have played this trailer frame-by-frame over and over
again.
I also
noticed how he looks really tall and kinda skinny in the first pic and how chubby and short he looks in the
second pic.
