Wow… That’s so cool! And big! Looks like that could hold a lot of popcorn!
Lol, that looks cool!
LOL!
Remi - Ya’ know, I was gonna get one of those when I was at the Ratatouille premiere in the El Capitan Theater, but I thought, “Naaah. It’s not worth the money…”. I kind of regret thinking that now.
Very cool, dude!
– Mitch
Very neat. Thanks, Remi.
What better way to eat your chemical-y, one billion caloried popcorn than with a bucket that has veggies on it!
Gasduude - Puh-ha! Yeah, I know. See, this is why I always bring something healthy with me when I go to see Ratatouille – something like…an apple.
– Mitch
That’s really neat, Remi! I hope my cinema has something like that… crosses fingers they will
Mitch - An apple? You crazy!
I’m not sure if you’re allowed to do this in America, but we get our munchies from the supermarket and drinks from an el cheapo store near the cinema and smuggle the food in the cinema in a backpack. I’m so glad my local cinema turns a blind eye to it, since cinema food is so expensive, if you consider how much it costs to make popcorn and coke.
rachel - Haha! Yeah, I bring an apple almost every time. Heck, I even brought a bran muffin to the theater once…
Amen to that! I do the exact same thing. Our theaters are absolutely hilarious; if you carry food or a beverage out in the open where they can see it…then they’ll confiscate it, but if you put it in your backpack, fannypack, or purse…they never notice the smuggled food.
I made the mistake of buying a freakin’ bottle of water at the theater once, and the dang thing cost $4.00 freakin’ bucks! I’ve learned my lesson…
But back on-topic… (snigger)
– Mitch
A pop corn bucket huh? Pretty cool! Great to have when you are watching the Ratatouille DVD at home!
Mitch - Heh. Bran muffin. That’s funny. Our local theatre is a bit lax on checking if you have smuggled food in. Once I saw someone who had the nerve to bring in two plastic shopping bags full of popcorn bags (the ones you microwave at home). I mean the bags were see-through! If you are going to bring your own food, at least try and hide it. But I suppose if they clamped down on people, then they would lose customers so they turn a blind eye to it. Which is good for a cheapskate like me.
Anyway, more to the topic. I went to Target today, and they have a little Ratatouille book shrine! This is a big deal because this is the first big group of Ratatouille merchandise on sale here
I took it with my camera phone, that’s why it’s so small. You can see two rows of it in the middle, between the Harry Potter and Shrek stuff. shudder I ended up buying “The Guide to Remy’s World” book, and a The Incredibles pencil tin (it was on sale, and I was in a Pixar mood):
Nice pics of a ratatouille shrine rachel! Even cooler pic of the TI pencil tin!
Off-Topic - Once I went to the theater and the smallest popcorn was 10$! No joke. Maybe it’s just me, but do they really think I’ll pay those prices!?!
Nice little book, rachel. I don’t think I’ve seen it before, actually.
TSS - Heheh. I knew you would like the The Incredibles tin.
Gasduude - The book is actually quite big - the picture just makes it look small.
Oh, and about the popcorn, I have no idea why people pay those prices either… It’s puzzling. This blog article has quite interesting facts on movie theatre food, and their profit margins. LINK (Yes, I am a geek)
rachel- Yay for the Iceland near by our cinema where you can buy massive bags of Haribo and popcorn dirt cheap! Cinemas are way too expensive. And that Ratatouille book looks so cool- I love the bites that have been taken out of it! Thanks for showing us.
rachel - Puh-ha! That popcorn story was funny…
Hey, I have that book! It’s pretty cute, isn’t it? It also has some really nice screenshots/photos of the characters, which is why I shot towards that book immediately when I first saw it in a Disney Store…
Oh, and that Ratatouille book “shrine” looks pretty cool! They have something similar at our local Borders Book Store; I should take a picture of it…
– Mitch
Mitch - That would be wicked if you did that. I’m sure your Borders book shrine is bigger than the ones over here. Heh.
rachel - Yeah, our local Borders store is a pretty decent size, though I’m not sure whether or not their collection of Ratatouille books is stacked all in the same place. I’ll do my best to attain a picture of their little Ratatouille set, though.

Here is the link to the Japanese amazon site’s Ratatouille section. It’s laid out the same way the English site with the page number on the bottom and the different sections on the left hand side near the top(this is the “toys & hobby” section) they have some of the things like the ones here but they also have other things such as a vast array of cutr plush key chains and even a very funny hair clip (featuring Remy holding onto two small handfuls of black/dark brown hair)
MiniChuchan - Ahaha! How awesome! Those keychains are just adorable, as is the hairclip. (The hair clip, especially, is ingenious. Heheh.)
Thanks for the link! I wish we got stuff like that here in America… (snigger)
– Mitch
Nice link chuchan! I love seeing all of those cute toys!
Here’s a link to the section on my Photobucket page where I put the pics of my toys. I don’t wanna directly post them here because the pictures are too big. I needed them big so you could see the details. I hope you like them.

I snuggle with this one every night.
I know, I’m 17 and I still sleep with plushies. You got a problem with that? Lol
And that little pink thing between his legs that he’s sitting on is just his tail. So don’t get all freaked out or anything if you thought it was something else.
