Ratatouille Toys!

Aww, that Emilie looks so adorable! Lucky that you still got a plush toy of him! That is okay about sleeping with Plush toys. It is perfectly normal for us people. Really cute though.

Marie - Iā€™m eighteen and I still sleep with plush toys. Itā€™s perfectly normalā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue:  (snigger)

Very cute Emile plushie you got there! I almost want to snuggle it. My sister actually has a similar toy, the only difference being that it is less fuzzy and Emile is holding a piece of cheese between his paws.

Puh-ha!

Thanks for the link, MiniChuchan. That Japanese merchandise, is really cute. But I wouldnā€™t expect anything different from the Japanese. I wouldnā€™t buy them, but the plush key chains are cute. There are is such variety of Remy plush toys - each of them a slightly different shade of blue/grey. Number 10 looks the cuddliest, though.

I am envious of your Ratatouille plush collection, Marie. :smiling_imp: Heheh. I didnā€™t know there was an Anton Ego plushā€¦ Donā€™t worry about still sleeping with your plushies.

Heheh. I didnā€™t know there was an Anton Ego plushā€¦quote]To tell you the truth, I am quite surprised to see no Collete or Linguini plusies. Those two are amonge the top popular characters in the movie.

TSS - They are available (Iā€™ve seen them online), but maybe she just hasnā€™t collected those two yetā€¦

They actually had a Colette and Linguini plushie when I went there, but I didnā€™t get them. They also have talking figures of all the guys I have little figurines of, but I didnā€™t get those either. Just the Skinner one.

Of course.

Oh, I thought that they totally neglecte the other guys, but I can understand why you got the two adorable rats, and the other two male human characters. :unamused:

My Disney store was practically wiped of plushies. They only had the large rat ones, that Iā€™m not paying $20 for. They only had one poor looking smallish Emile plushie. Disappointing. But I did get a pin set which was cute.

I really wish the action figures and statues looked better. I never buy those because their faces look weird, and their eyes are always facing in opposite directions.

Scary!!! :open_mouth:

There arenā€™t any plushes in storeā€¦ yet. But my sis and I did find two claw machines filled with Remy, Linguini, and Emile plushes. One of them had big plushes, and the other had normal size. :sunglasses:

The jumbo plushies:

Linguini looked really funny:

The smaller claw machine:

The claw chooses who will go and who will stayā€¦

I had a go at the smaller claw game, and I won! I aimed for this Remy plush toy. Next time, Iā€™ll go for Emile or Linguini, whoever is the easiest to get.

Is it just me, or does Remy look more like a Muppet with those eyes?

rachel- Nice photos! And youā€™re right- he does look like a Muppet! That, or heā€™s on somethingā€¦

A Claw Machine with ratatouille toy, that has got to be so cool. A ratatouille will spend endless hours with that game. :unamused:

Thanks for the images, rachel.

rachel - Itā€™s Remy on drugs! :stuck_out_tongue:

Heheh. Very cute, rachel! And cha, he does kinda look like a Muppetā€¦ (snigger)

And who says hallucinagenics donā€™t really work on Rats? hee hee

Wow, obscure psycology humor, Iā€™ve just been reading one of my momā€™s psycology text books and some reveiw articles, that mention that anything that causes hallucinations in humans does not have that same effect on rats.
(this is what happens when you have several relatives in psycology)

Back on topic: It must be nice to live in a country where the prizes in UFO catcher crain games are cute and the games thenselves are winable,
they donā€™t have such wonders in canada

Iā€™m sorry if Iā€™m double posting but, I finally got a copy of ā€œThe art of Ratatouilleā€ and a couple of the plush toys  and it was a bit tricky for me

First I had wanted to get the book since I found out it existed but there was the issue that came from taking so long to find out and that was that none of the book stores in the area had any copies left in stock, so after all this I finally find a store that has a copy, get over to it, find the book, get my mom over to it (my dad had an appointment in the area so I only had to get my mom there and this was the reason I could go to the store in the first place) and after putting in all this effort find out that the price is out of my range because I live in Canada and the people who price these things act as if there is still a big difference between Canadian and American money so it was twice as much as I thought it would be. So I then had to mention the cheaper copy online and that weekend I go to this convention I had planned on going to for a while and since it had more than one theme there was a variety of booths so I got the plesant surprise of finding a booth that sells these kinds of books (and although I have wanted to buy this kind of book for awhile, I had my heart set on starting my collection with this one) and typically they have evey single one I could think except the Ratatouille one, so I said that Iā€™d like to save a bit of my budget to buy the book online, but while walking around my mom noticed the DVD from a series it looked like my friend would enjoy quite a bit but that would take up the money I was saving so my mom agreed to buy the book for me anyway. Then I get the perfect opertunity to buy it when I needed another book for school and since my school is a correspondence one in New Zealand, we often have order books that while easy to find in New Zealand may not even be sold here but it took too long to combine the orders and the shipping price to Canada was too high for one lesure book so we had to cancel the order and then a day later, I realised that it could be sent to my uncleā€™s house since heā€™s been living in America for the past 6 years so we bought it again and it should be arriving at my uncleā€™s house in afew days.

Then thereā€™s what I had to go through to get my two plush toys (The Remy one with the spoon and the Emile one with the piece of cheese) the process was harder than youā€™d think considering that there is a shoppng mall in the area I live in with a Disney store and is close to most of the places where we run arrends and places us there at least once a week. I decided I was getting at least one of the plush toys when I left the theaters and since we went to this mall a few hours afterwards it should have been simple but, when I went off on my own I relised I had left my wallet at my house, which put a bit of a damper on that plan and it happened over and over again for about a month and there wasnā€™t much chance of my parents paying for it. As for the reason behind thatā€¦ to start off Iā€™m a long time, card carrying, certified, soft toy enthusiast, as such you can probably imagine that Iā€™ve gathered a fair number (three bins in storage that are awaiting ā€œcompressionā€ and an unknown number in my bedroom) so Iā€™m supposed to be drasticly lessening my collecting but, I really canā€™t the appeal and magnatism is that strong for me :stuck_out_tongue: . Well last week my parents had to leave for the day because my mom had to meet the teacher for her latest class and with the allergies traveling is hard so they managed to arrange for everything to be worked out at once, so my granmother was staying with me so I saw this as a good oppertunity, I had to print out the directions because my grandmother has no sense for dirrection, abandon the directions because they just werenā€™t working, direct my grandmother (who was driving) from memory and when I get there I just canā€™t find the Ratatouille plush toys, and the store wasnā€™t even that big or anything (I think it might have been awhile between selling the ones on display and bringing out the ones in the back) so then I have to go back and try to find some on the internet, but my grandmother still thinks that itā€™s a ridged issue and wouldnā€™t even help me buy it with my own money, so I had to use ā€œconving techniquesā€. Now I have two main techniques one is to go in to my usual monologue about the item in question, and having some knowledge about the quality of plush toys, can drag such a monologue out for a good long time however since I didnā€™t have a ā€œphysical aidā€ to prove my point, I had to move onto my other method of choice which I pratice everyday and that is to dialate(enlargen)my pupils(the black part of the eye) I have no idea why but I figuered out a way of slightly changeing the size at will, which can gain a good amount of sympathy so my grandmother actually gave me some money for me to find on in stores so she technically wouldnā€™t be buying it directly. And then I see them in stores again a few times but in the end running out of time and then finally being able to buy them yesterday, and having it excepted as inevidable.

Wow, Iā€™ve written quite a bit here. The things I do for my hobbies and facinations. sigh When I think about it, most people would probably be reacessing their hobbies right now.

MiniChuchan - Ha. Gee whiz. You sure had to go through alot just to get a couple of plush toys and the ā€œArt of Ratatouilleā€ book. Iā€™m glad you finally obtained them, though!

ā€“ Mitch

Hee Hee. So am I, when I like something especially when it appeals to me so much, my entusiasm knows no bounds  . As I said, Iā€™m sure alot of people would be doing some serious reacessment of themselves and their hobbies right now.

Heh, theyā€™ve started advertising a ā€˜munch mealā€™ or something at our local cinema for Ratatouille. If you buy one, with an exclusive Ratatouille box, you get a free Ratatouille apron. It looks cool.
