Ratatouille Video Game!

JV - Yeah, I figured that they would show the WALL-E

trailer/teaser along with the game, and that goes for film clips, as well.

Very cool! Thanks for the

link, JV!

JV: Not only cars, but also

in the Incredibles too.

Your right

TSS.

So who ever gets the game gets a sneek peak of WALE early.

That right TSS. And I can tell you

that that will be Mitch and I for sure.

Ditto, JV. I’ll be at Toys

R’ Us the second they open so that I can rush in and grab the video game.

Well good luck. You all seem so determined to get it

and see the stuff. Me, i’ll just wait for the movie.

trailer is up!

Noooo!!! No, I

can’t believe it! It’s like the Toy Story 2 computer game
Oh man, this is

gonna be hard
:unamused:

On the plus side, thanks for the information, JV!

Are you kidding? It doesn’t look that hard. I have a

friend who is a master gamer. Once he saw this, he was laughing so hard because it looked really fun, yet it was

so easy to understand. “HOw hard can it be?” were his words.

I’m a master gamer too, dude. In fact, I’m the master of master

gamers. I can tell just by looking at a video game how difficult a particular level will be. :stuck_out_tongue:

Depending

on one’s level of skill, a game such as this one may be either exceptionally difficult or fairly easy. In my

case, the rating will probably land right in the middle. However, I haven’t even played the thing yet, so I’ll

just have to wait and see how it carries out

BUt it is a Disney game. They can’t make the game too

hard for you. THen it won’t sell. THey have to balence it out.

Never underestimate your opponent.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I am not underestimating anybody. I am just trying to

make a point. :stuck_out_tongue:

Demo

Directions: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on

“Downlaod the Game Demo”. It’s that simple!

I love the tagline: "Action has

a new taste."

My compressed review:

Played it; loved it; gotta buy it.

My elongated review: Alright, I have to

admit that I didn’t really expect the game to be this simple, yet so difficult at the same time. Taking my past

experiences with other, similar video games into account, I can safely say that this particular game seems to

blend aspects of the following games into one package: Toy Story 2 Action Game,

A Bug’s Life Action Game, 102 Dalmations: Puppies to the

Rescue, Croc 2, and Monsters Inc.: Scare

Island.

Gameplay - The game itself (or the demo, at least) is

untimed, medium-paced, and loaded down with hidden nooks and crannies to explore and items to collect. You won’t

run out of things to do and places to go

Only a portion of one level – The

Marketplace – is avaible for game play in the demo, but it still takes a good while to complete

for first-time players. Basically, you play as Remy the rat on a mission to collect various items for your rat

friends (your “friends” in question being Git, a heavy-weight lifter of a rodent, and Twitchy, a small

and quirky little fellow who is much too skinny for his size; one other rat, a female, also makes an appearance

at the end of the game, but you don’t get a chance to interact with her, unfortunately).

The game in

general is quite easy to master, but it seems that the keyboard buttons you choose to control your character can

make all the difference. Take, for example, the fact that my sister couldn’t figure out how to arrange the

control settings in such a way so that she would be able to direct her character with ease. Henceforth, it took

her approxiamately an hour to complete the level in question. When I rearranged the controls, however, I

completed the level in about twenty minutes, and my sister got the same “time score” with the same

settings.

Depending on your level of skill, the level chosen for this particular demo can take anywhere

from 10 mintues to an hour to complete.

Controls - Once you configurate the

controls to your liking, the character of Remy (which is, I assume, the only playable character in the entire

game) of fairly easy to maneuver. Even seemingly difficult tasks, such as walking across a good length of thread

or swinging from one pole to the next, is pretty much a piece of cake.

“Enjoyability” - Overall, I would say that this game is a must for

any rabid gamer. It’s easy enough for the kids to play, yet hard enough for some of us teenage players to enjoy

as well. It makes you think, but not “overthink”. This one definitely deserves a place in between your

Pixar and Star Wars video games.

I really do

love it and cannot wait to get this thing in its

entirety when it hits the shelves on June 26.

So you will consider

it an easy game then?

My thoughts exactly, I can’t thank you enough for finding this, Mitch!

The Star Swordsman - I would consider it to be

fairly easy, but also rather difficult, to play in its own right. In my book, it would be classified as a

“medium-based” game: not too hard, yet not too simple.

Zack -

Heheh – thank my sister! She found it.

She has my thanks.

For me, anything that is medium is considered easy.

In my video game terms, you got easy, or super, incredibly hard. There is no in between for me.
