I don’t know if any of you
have seen this, but you can watch an interesting (and rather peculiar) reenactment of Geri’s
Game in this YouTube
video.
In the first one-third or so of the clip, you will hear a narrator talk in Spanish (or at
least I think it’s Spanish). Not knowing how to speak Spanish myself, I have no idea what he’s saying, so
don’t expect me translate anything for you
.

Heheh – that was
actually quite creative. The guy sure did get most of Geri’s movements right, although…I must say that he
chose a rather interesting piece of music for the backround score.
Other than that, it was pretty fun
to watch. Great find, CountSolo!

Wow… I have that exact same Chess board.
My sentiments exactly Mitch. It was an
absolutely amazing, superb video!
and I’m prety sure he’s speaking Italian. =)
Well, I just saw it. I must say, it looks rather
nice. Incredible work.

I don’t know what they said, but I
do know that Mozart’s Requiem is playing in the background. I sang it in choir just recently.
Ironically, I was just watching some video clips of the Italian
masterpiece by Roberto Benigni called La vita e bella, otherwise known to English
speakers as Life is Beautiful. After doing that, I’m actually starting to get
convinced that the narrator was speaking Italian, and not Spanish.

Here’s another
(and, IMHO, better) version - it’s fantastic!

An awesome remake, indeed. Thumbs up!
Wow, that remake
was, indeed, better! The actor had all the mannerisms of Geri and he actually looked like Geri.

Meg
- Wow – that was quite a nice remake of the original! Upcoming Pixar just recently
added this onto their blog, as well. All of Geri’s actions were almost perfectly synchronized and played out,
and – as CountSolo stated – the actor did, indeed, look almost exactly like Geri.

I just saw it too. I must say, I was
competely amazed of how everything was so perfect.

The supposedly better re-enactment has been taken off YouTube:
"This video is no longer
available due to a copyright claim by The Walt Disney Company"
Funny. I thought that homages and
parodies were allowed on YT. In any case it would have been made as a tribute to Pixar, and I would find it hard
to believe that the tributers would actually profit from making it. In fact it probably cost them money to do it.
I wonder if it was Disney or Pixar who wanted the tribute taken down.
Anyway, here is an alternative

Not anymore! They’re crackin’ down!
That kinda stinks. Anyway, that was really cool how exact
that was!
That would take a lot of practice,
studying, and takes.
That’s for sure! And that would take a lot of time as well. Time I sure dont have, lol
I think the person who did it must be a really obsessed
fan of Geri’s game and also has a grampa who looks like him.
