There’s a good article about Wall-E up online, but note there are spoilers in it.
The first half talks about the movie, after seeing part of it in February.
The second half is a transcript of the Q&A session Andrew Stanton did with the audience afterwards.
NOTE: be aware the first part has some spoilers in it you might not have heard about yet. However the second part (the Q&A, where the green font begins) is about the making of the movie (quite interesting), and is safer to read (one or two spoilers mentioned in passing, but stuff you probably already know if you’ve read the forums here).
My favorite quote, from the Q&A section:
Stanton: I know this is the question I know I’m gonna get asked for the rest of my life is, “Why Hello, Dolly!?” And the one thing I want to dispel is I’m a fan of the movie. I just like to think that Wall-E has bad taste in musicals. But he’s a romantic at heart, you know. He’s not that discerning.
