I need help with some thing i found last time i watched Ratatouille. When Emile found remy, Remy goes to get Emile some food. But why go in the kitchen when he still has all that food Linguini gave him??? ![]()
Such is the questionable nature of man when it comes to matters such as this. I think the main reason for this was so as the director/animators could insert that particular moment in the film when Gusteau interrogates Remy concerning his motive(s) for âstealingâ. Here is the exact scene to which I am referring:
Remy makes for the kitchen food locker, pausing only for a moment at the melodious sound of Skinner and Linguini chuckling in Gusteauâs office, before clicking open the locker door and heading towards the contents within it.
At that moment, and most unexpectedly, Gusteau appears out of thin air to announce a statement in Remyâs face.
âRemy! You are stealing now?! You told Linguini he could trust you.â - Gusteau
âAnd he can! I-Itâs for my brotherâŠâ - Remy
âEh, but the boy could loose his job!â - Gusteau
âWhich means I would too. Itâs under control, O.K.?â - Remy
Being a fairly crucial moment in the film, in which Remyâs reputation for being one to take a chance at things is stressed, itâs understandable as to why that particular scene was included.
This is the only real explaination I could think of as to why the Pixar employees would make Remy head for the food locker instead of simply extracting a piece of fruit and/or cheese from his own pile of morsels given to him by Linguini.
I hope that that answers your question! In the meantime, I would pose this interrogative in a different thread, namely the one posted below:
Things I didnât get/that didnât seem to work SPOILER ALERT
I shall now lock this thread. Just doinâ my job. ![]()
