I just noticed that Buzz has the little “handle” or whatever it’s called on the front edge of his helmet. I don’t think I’ve ever seen another Buzz to feature that before, not even the TSC Buzz. Nice attention to detail!
And yeah, that looks to be what that crazy laughing face is for, given that he also comes with a pointing finger. It’s also similar to the “Buzz, look an alien!” laughing scene.
Though I still don’t think I’d want Crazy Laughing Woody on my shelf staring at me…
I think these figures are way cooler than anything that has come before. They look so good. It’s just a shame they are so small. If Woody stood at the same height as the tsc version it would the best figure out there. I have found a supplier for them and I may try and get them when available.
It’s stuff like this that makes me wish Revoltech would find some way to properly distribute this stuff in the US. These Toy Story figures are just as awesome as the Toho giant monsters they’re working.
Just got Woody, didn’t order Buzz. I’m really happy with it. Here are some crappy pictures and a brief writeup.
^ Worst picture ever
He’s about 6 inches tall. He looks a lot better in real life than he seems to in any pictures I can find. He’s a bit difficult to stand up and he doesn’t come with a stand, which is a little disappointing.
^ I take that back, this is worse. I need a new camera
So, he’s in his crazy face here. I guess they were aiming for the promo picture a few posts back but people are abusing the heck out of this face (see the Internet). The eyes are posable which is a really good touch.
He also comes with a bunch of different hand poses which is good, and a nice case for carrying the hands and other small pieces. Just to throw it in, the box is really nice and includes what I think is a Woody bio (it’s in Japanese) and some stills from the movies. I didn’t take any pictures of that though.
There’s also a nice Lenny that they included. Here he is next to a buddy pack Lenny (the Revoltech one is on the right).
Overall, I’m very happy with this guy. He’s the first Revoltech I’ve owned and he poses really well. I’m sure Buzz is just as good. Any Toy Story fan should check these out for sure (and take better pictures).
PS. Does anyone know what the Revoltech coin is for? I’m guessing it’s useless in the US.
Your camera is probably fine, you just need to play with the focus settings more. try macro or manual focus. Unless its a camera phone or old disposable camera, it should undoubtedly have both.
You can’t adjust focus with my camera. All you can do is change exposure, white balance, zoom, and resolution really. It’s pretty old and cheap, from around 2005.
Well try zooming less/more - the background of those photos is fine, so the figure itself can easily be made less blurry depending on the distance you are away from the figure, as well as the level of zoom on it.
Doubtful they will. Considering the other figures in the line (Alien, Jack Skellington, T-Rex, Batman, Predator), it seems they’re going for just headliners. Jessie isn’t a “big” enough character to be released probably.
But it wouldn’t make sense to give her a seperate release a few months down the line, regardless of how well two more well-known and more popular characters have sold. She’s not a big enough character. Buzz and Woody are the main two, we’re very unlikely to be getting anyone else, regardless of sales.
Yeah, their not obligated to do everyone. if they do Jessie then people are going to want Rex, then bo, and it’s a never ending cycle. You can’t just do Jessie, or else you end up doing the whole round up gang, rex, etc. its best to just leave it at Buzz and Woody. a lot of time effort and money goes into them, only the most popular characters will make the cut. there are some people who don’t even know who Jessie is. I know when I was talking to my hair dresser she said she still hadn’t seen the sequel, and asked me if there were any new characters. Everyone knows who Buzz and Woody are, Jessie, not so much.
Of course, these toys aren’t meant for your average person, but the point is if your going to do any toy story characters, its going to be Buzz and Woody, their the most marketable.
I’m just saying if there WOULD be a next one, Jessie is next in line. In the series in the general, she’s one of the most popular, but what works for the line is that she has a human shape unlike most of the others.
