The Japanese toy company, Revoltech, just released some shots of Woody and Buzz.
Revoltech makes insanely articulated, very detailed figures. They typically cost $20-$30 plus the cost of shipping from Japan, $10-$20 depending on how fast you want it.
Wow, it’s weird seeing a Buzz toy that’s able to put his arms all the way down. Now you guys can see what I mean by having to make him off model to get that range of motion out of him. See how much his shoulders are out of their sockets? Looks good for what it is though. Its not a replica, it doesn’t try to be, but they did a great job from the looks of it.
Also, despite all that added articulation, I’m almost positive he still cant reach his laser, haha.
Nice!! These look great, especially having Buzz be able to move around properly!! Woody looks pretty good too, they did a nice job of blending the ball joints.
The translation of that page says ““Toy Story 3,” according to the public August 1 will be released so it is!” But you’ll want to check out the two sites I linked to below on a regular basis to snag the pre-order in case they sell out.
Revoltechs are very small in comparison to the TSC ones. They’re Here’s a few on my desk for comparison. The bunny girl is a Revoltech and the two green haired girls are Figmas, which are about the same scale.
Your best bets are Hobby Link or Hobby Search. I’ve ordered from and had no issues with either site. 1999.co.jp/eng/ hlj.com/
Bit more information and lots of glorious pictures. They have movable eyes! There’s only been one figure with that feature so far in the Revoltech line as far as I know. ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2010/05/ … tyear.html
I see they changed one of my gripes with the prototypes: the ball joints that connect his legs to his pelvis were grey like his elbows, they are now white as they should be.
