RT's Pixar Countdown

Good list?

  • Exactly my opinion!
  • A little off…
  • Not at all

I wouldn’t completely agree with this list but it’s pretty decent.

I like it better than IGN’s countdown. Not to say either list is bad, as they both say not even the weakest Pixar film is anywhere bad, and that it’s tough ranking awesome films… But I just wish Monsters Inc. was higher up on the list.

Well, this list is still very different from my list. Probably only one movie fits in with the right position, but not all of them.

Don’t completely agree with this list. Some of the positions I agreed with, but others not so much. I do find it fascinating though seeing how other people rank the movies… even just out of the fans on Pixar Planet.

It looks like they went by the percentage of positive reviews for each film. That being said, Monsters Inc. is highly underrated (not as much as A Bug’s Life, but I think you get the picture) so it’s seventh. I don’t want to turn this topic into a “what’s your pixar list” thread (which probably exists somewhere…), so I won’t put up mine.

Found it rather interesting to read. Of course, it doesin’t fit my list eather, but still a good read nonetheless.

I did get a little upset though after reading the comments section. A lot of people file Wall-E to be an overrated film and often times put it below almost every Pixar film produced. And, being a big fan of Wall-E… well, you can put the two together.

Glad to hear most people believe Monsters Inc. to be a better film that the list suggests. :sunglasses:

It said that Tin Toy was the short film that started it all, which is false, because it was Luxo Jr. They should know THAT!

I’m not surprised that Cars was at the bottom, since it’s on the bottom of a lot of lists. It’s hard to put the rest of the films into an order, so it’s pretty typical for people to disagree since people always choose an order according to their own preferences. In my opinion, all the movies did a great job telling their story, but I’d say this list is a pretty good one.
