I don’t think romance should play a huge part in a sequel unless the whole point of the first movie was the romance. Lightning getting with Sally wasn’t the point of Cars. He wanted his Piston Cup and in the sequel, he wants the World Gran Prix.
I think it fits. It has already been stated that they’ll lightly touch on their romance in the beginning, but for the rest of the movie, it’s going to be on the cool story!!
I heard on a new Cars 2 blog (too lazy to get the link), that the new villain is trying to be a [spoil]dictator of the whole world[/spoil], which is why the trailer states, “They’re racing to save the world.”
Woah, that makes sense. And I agree, the only sequel to a Pixar movie that could be romance is Wall-E. And that doesn’t need a sequel.
They wrapped up the story with Wall-E so I’m 100% sure they won’t make a sequel to that. I wish they would bring out Newt for 2013.
Ok, but i think we’ve also wrapped up the fact on why sally might NOT be on Cars 2, depending on what we can find out between january and july.
Uh,no she’s going to be in it not a lot but she’s going to be in it according to the latest screenings…
I think he means why she isn’t playing a bigger role.
I agree; a Wall-E sequel would make no sense. And continue the sequel train.
But I’m almost sure Sally will have enouigh screen time for the movie to make sense.
I thought he ment all together, period…
Well, we misunderstand eachother all the time. It’s pretty common now, and a little irritating.
I would say i meant both: as having a role and having a decent role.
