I was so nervous that you guys might think i’m wrong about this ( and
not the good wrong ) , but i needed some opinions on this .
Well , I thought about this when my little
sister got one of those fake tatoos and put it were your hips meet your hipphugger jeans . My mom told me they
were called " tramp stamos " and my older sister had one there so she was gonna show my sister a
picture and tell her she was a bad influence .
Noticing where sally’s pinstripe tatoo was minutes later
, i noticed it was kind of in that spot where it would probably be for a car . Don’t ya think that’s not so
good for when she’s someone’s attorney ? they could be all "that doesn’t look like a good lawyer , see
her tatoo , that’s where a "tramp stamp " is supposed to be "
so ,any opinions ? I’m
sorry if i sound peverted but i just had to ask .

That’s probably
why that tail thing moves- to reveal it or not.
You’re assuming, perhaps wrongly, that Sally had the
tattoo as an attorney in L.A.
But I suspect she got the pinstriping from Ramone when she settled down
(and let her hair down) in Radiator Springs.
I think the pinstriping represents the saucy side of her
character. She was an ambitious “me, me, me” person in L.A., then relaxed once she was taken in by the
generous people of Radiator Springs and found out there were more important things in life than just career.
It was just a guess , i thought that kind of , but
then I started to think maybe she was like all the other teenagers a long time ago , and did that " i’m
gonna do the tatal opposite of what my parents tell me to do " kind of stage .
It’s just an opinion
, and the world may never know the truth .
I think Sally got that tat-too from the “fast-lane life” If you know what I mean as
in a symbol of you know something.
The ‘tail thing’ is actually a spoiler and when opened it increases downforce at high
speeds. Why it’s open at the time McQueen spots Sally’s tatoo, I don’t know, but maybe it moves accordingly to
her mood. She was happy and excited about the new road (and maybe also McQueen
) and therefore it was
open.
As to when she got the tatoo I agree with route66news. And I think that when she chose to have the
tatoo in that particular spot, it’s because then she can hide it. After all she is a business car
. But I
don’t think there’s anything naughty about that area. I don’t think there are any naughty areas on a car. They
are not human and they are not animals, they don’t have those ‘very private things’ which humans and animals
have.
I
agree, The Loner. Anyway, it’s not even technically a tattoo- it’s a sticker, so as far as I’m aware, it
isn’t permenant.
Yeah , but they do
prefer to it as a tatoo .
and I never thought of it as naughty , well , not the realy bad naughty , but
the you’re gonna get grounded for a month naughty .
and carfreak , i don’t even want to know what that
something is .
I can’t remember exactly what the source is, but I
seem to recall reading somewhere that the spoiler on that Porshe model opens automatically when the car hits a
certain speed but can also be opened manually whenever the driver chooses to do so. I might be wrong on that
one, but I’m pretty sure I read it somewhere or other.
DElf4242 I belive you are absolutely right
about that. And what I thought was that Sally, more or less consciously, would move her spoiler accordingly to
her mood.
By the way, lizardgirl from where do you know the tatoo is a sticker? I have always though of it
as a paint job decoration (like the eagle on the hood of a Firebird) and therefore something that still can be
changed or removed.
The Loner- Where I live, we have a chain of cinemas
called ‘Cineworld’ (so original
) and every month or so, they release a magazine that reviews current and
soon to be released films. As far as I remember, in the review for Cars, it said in the things to watch out for
section, ‘Lightning has a good look at Sally’s sticker tattoo!’
It’s not a particularly reliable
source, but because I read it, I just kind of got it stuck in my head that it’s a sticker. It’s not necessarily
true, and it’s a real possibility that it could be a paint job decoration, which would explain why she’s so
embarrassed about it- it can’t be removed, in that case.
I would think that if the tatoo indeed is a paint job decoration she could still get
rid of it if she wanted, cause she could get repainted in that spot. Maybe she likes the tatoo but is still
embarrassed about it.
Maybe it just grew on her , and doesn’t want to give it up cause she thinks of it as a part of her .
Like an
artifical brith mark? I think Sal’s tat-too is awsome!
