And well, Joehisa, I defend her because I know the facts. I could say the same thing about you and Obama, since I approach you with facts all the time and you defend him, even when he doesn’t deserve it.
What is it about Obama that you all don’t like him so much? What? Is it because he’s a black candidate (according to sources, that’s one of the main reasons people are disliking him). He sounds like a nice guy who wants to do good things for the country. As for whether he’s reliable or not, no one can determine that for both Obama and McCain until the time comes when they start running all over our lives.
I don’t like him because he is on the ticket for practically no reason, I mean he has no expirience at all. At least Palin DID something! His policies are nieve and uneducated, the ones he actually has. The rest aren’t really policies, just fantasies. In a couple of years and bills later, he might make an okay president. But not now.
yah…what kind of change and hope does he think he is going to do???
I “hope the change” is going to correct our economy, get healthcare out of the red, make social security out of the red, get the government spending out of the red, and also not let Talibann retake any of the places we have liberated.
I’d rather have Obama than Palin any day. Don’t even try and suggest that Palin would be anything other than a Neo-con puppet, at least Obama has a spine and some semblance of leadership quality.
This is an international view and, believe me, most people outside the US are supporting an Obama victory. His change policy is pretty weak but it’s a damn bit better than a keep what we’re doing now even though it clearly doesn’t work policy. Problem is with the financial crisis affecting Europe so greatly I don’t see them continuing to fight in Afghan, particularly as fighters can just hide in Pakistan and run over the border - something which the Pakistani government can’t really control.
Right now I think the Republican party needs a break to sort itself out. Palin and McCain will struggle just to control the party, let alone the country if elected.
Also who put the government spending in the red… hmm. This is a foreign view so it really means nothing.
Oh and the person mentioning nuclear, nuclear power is slightly dangerous (less than a coal plant say) but the main problem is waste which has a massive half-life. Of course you could put it in some old cold war bunker in the desert or something. Nuclear is fine if it’s maintained properly… just depends on who’s maintaining it.
Careful…if you say stuff like don’t even try…then your argument is already offensive. The deal with this thread is to be able to discuss topics that are debatable. Obama knows what he likes and dislikes. Palin knows and moves towards that idea. Obama doesn’t move unless he has total passion or support from big people. How many times has he voted present? and how many times has he voted either no or yes? If palin is a puppet then Obama is a puppet as well.
Which is exactly why we shouldn’t support Obama. Europe loves him!! What is Europe…communism…terror…just take a look over at France and Amsterdam and London (Terror)
Palin bring the party togehter but at this point republiocan and democratic parties are rubish…total nonsence. I don’t believe in either and many people today believe the same thing…but the media keeps the parties together just to attack the better side. Republicans are Democarats and Democrats are Sociolistic people.
Uhhh…the government?? WOW!! Breakthrough…maybe if we cut down on ideas the Democratic Government puts out we might spend less! We spend more now then ever before and why? Iraq…no we have had wars before and we will have them forever. If you still think yes listen…Obama has said that he will move troops into Africa to “calm” the oppression. That war would cost more then the Iraq War…plus Obama wants to go into Pakistand and Afghanistan…His War would cost more then Bushs. And now that we have this bailout package Obama wants to expand it to $1.3 Trillion Dollers. o_O!!! WHY??? This will only cost the tax payer’s much more money…loose jobs becuase small business’s will loose money…and will make the economy suffer even worse…and don’t even make me mention ACORN in that package.
Did you know that 20 MILL went to a wooden arrow making company in Pennsylvania!!! WHY!!! Obama is feared on his views of the economy by 75% of CEO’s. Wow!!! 83% support McCain on the economy because his view is a better one then Barrack.
Yes!!! At this point in the world if we don’t get energy quickly we will loose to Russia and China and Iran. We will not get any more extra oil becuase our doller will cost half of what the Chinese doller is worth. We will loose our economy and our ability to barter and trade. Our need is energy…if we can get any source of energy and stop using foreign oil the better we will be.
Can someone please…please retort Bill Ayers, ACORN, Obama’s ties with Fannie May and Freddie Mac, Reverand Wright, and how his supporters are so crazy about him…Please!!!
What I can’t believe is that Obama is calling this the “second depression”. The depression was WAY worse, do you see parents giving up their children, everyone losing their jobs, and lines around the block at soup kitchens? No. May the statistics say so, but that depends on who it is effecting. The biggest problem with most of the people I know is that we have to work really hard to get into collage. Still, my sister is being offered free rides to some not-quite-as-good collages, which can do is she doesn’t get into better ones, so if you work hard you will be mostly okay.
By the way, do you know what really got us out of the depression? WWII.
I won’t get involved. I’ll just say that she piqued my curiosity simply because she was a strong female politician/whatever, but upon learning more about her … she makes me sick.
Watching the debate tonight, it got me thinking. What is this plumber fetish the Republican party has? (With apologies to all those innocent plumbers out there!) No, really. First it was Richard Nixon and his “plumbers.” And now John McCain’s new American Hero is “Joe the Plumber.” Thankfully most Americans have safely “flushed” that lame tirade away (just take a look at all the post-debate polls).
McCain should be careful though. Nixon had to resign in disgrace because of his plumbers. (If you don’t know, look up “Watergate.”)
I’m Joe Plumber, and I approved this message.
Paid for by Republicans for Joe Plumber. Major funding by Exxon/Mobil, Enron, and Drano.
