Sarah Palin and Republicans

You don’t like McCain, do you?

I’d rather not have another 4 years of Bush-like nonsense in Washington. But McCain seems like nothing compared to Plain :open_mouth:

I don’t like McCain either; he’s the third Bush. You can see it in his eyes.

I like Sarah Palin.

What The. . . Have you actually been to his website and read his plans? They’re nothing like Bush’s policies!!! And also, you really can’t base your vote on what you see in someone’s eyes. I think that’s downright dumb!

McCAIN~PALIN '08!!!

CHANGE IS COMING!!!

Editted by TSS (Took out the “F” )

I can clearly see that John isn’t going to change anything, at least for the better. I don’t support someone just because of their party. But i have confidence in him as long as Sarah Palin’s by his side.

Do you see it in his eyes? :unamused:

More alike then they are different. There seem to be just a few issues on which McCain differs from Bush. I wonder how he’s going to "clean up the “ol’ boy’s network” when most of them are running his campaign.

Are you being sarcastic…?

Now that I am officially not undecided, I think my new avatar (I’ll find a funny non-political one afterwards) that I’ll have up 'til the election pretty much states my case…

MCCAIN - PALIN

Change Is Coming

What is McCain and Plain going to do, keep the troops in Iraq for another 100 years. They still haven’t thought this over, The World is now in a Gobal Recession, and now he wants to spend more money on Iraq than help his on country.

You know what…Government will never stop spending…face it!

They are never going to stop spending money…until Jesus comes back they won’t stop!

Palin and McCain only want to finish the war in Iraq…thus saying that we are staying in there for 100 years is rather pathetic. Once the Iraqi government gets control of the country we will pull out.

I want to make this clear:

BUSH WAS NOT THAT BAD OF PRESIDENT!

Sure he’s not perfect (He is GASP HUMAN after all!) but he’s not nearly as bad as people make him out to be. First of all, I want to clear this up for the anti-war peeps: The president, by law, can only move troops. He cannot declare war, only the CONGRESS can. So he could not have caused the war on Iraq like people claim he did. It is not in his power.

In my opinion, a lot of bad things happened during his presidency and people need someone to blame it on.

Heck, people didn’t like Abe Lincoln when he was president. They thought he made bad choices. But he is honored today as one of the best presidents we ever had. Poor Bush. The only chance of praise he has is after he’s dead.

i totally agree with you rac…simple a media issue…

Simple media issue? Never mind the fact that his administration fabricated lies such as Al-Quada being closely linked to Saddam Hussein when there wasn’t ay connection between the two, or what about that there were Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Iraq. More like Weapons of Mass Deception.

The Bush Administration is as bad as everyone makes it out to be. For goodness sake, he can’t even pronounce Nuclear properly. It’s Nu-clear not Nu-cu-lar.

It seems Palin pronounces it the same way to. Epic FAIL.

Off topic: Americans to the same thing with Iraq: they say “I-rack” instead of “I-rahk.” Drives me crazy.

Well, actually both pronunciations are wrong rachelcakes, it’s pronounced “Ee-rahk.”

Yup. Or Reagan saying “Viet-naaaaam” (instead of Viet-nahm).

Well, ahem… if I wanted to get down in the mud like all the “other” guys, I could say it’s because of the deficiencies in the Republican brain. But I would never say something like that. Right? Say, I think it’s time for me to suspend my campaign again…

One thing Palin isn’t, is stupid. She says “nu-ku-lur” on purpose. She’s no dummy. She was a TV sportscaster and all that “folksy” mispronouncing, fake accent, winking at the camera (wink, wink) and “well, gee” is a great act.

She’s very capable of speaking and repeating lines like an actress. When she fumbles, is when someone actually doesn’t let her get away with changing the subject, and asks her to name examples. That’s why she looks so polished when she doesn’t have to answer questions (like when answering a 2-minute debate question, changing the subject). But why she looks like the proverbial moose-in-the-headlights when someone actually has the nerve to, you know… ask her to actually answer the question? Which is why from now until election day, she’ll be doing speech after speech, but no more interviews.

Here’s just the latest example, aired tonight on CBS News before the debate. The reporter asked both Biden and Palin what they thought was the worst act Dick Cheney had done. With all the stuff he’s done from getting us into war with lies to claiming the Vice President is not part of the Executive branch (which Palin shockingly agreed with tonight), the worst thing she could think of about Cheney? His duck-hunting incident. If that doesn’t speak volumes, nothing does.

joesha, I have been trying to mature and not post direct insults to democrats. It would be real nice if you did that too, because that is just obnoxious and annoying. NEWSFLASH Debate does NOT mean he same thing as insult. and one politician’s behavior does not show the behavior of the entire party. It would be unfair if I said all democrats cheat on their spouses, right?

Rac_Rules,
I wasn’t trying to be insulting. I was slyly trying to make a point. I thought it was clear that I was mimicing partisan surrogates (and the McCain campaign), who do such a lovely job of saying “I would never say something bad about that honorable, child-molesting terrorist, Mr X.” (that old trick that gets the insult in while pretending to be “above” it). Take a look at the way I wrote it… I was mimicing the way I see the McCain campaign acting in that paragraph (even inserted a comment about me “suspending my campaign”). Perhaps it’s because I’m a political junkie and I see and hear more of this than most sane people, so if you didn’t get the reference, sorry. But I, of course, was not trying to be insulting. I was parroting what I see the McCain campaign do on almost a daily basis with this trick. Like their (and I’m paraphrasing) “we’re going to hold an honorable campaign about issues. We’ll never question that terrorist-loving America-hating candidate’s patriotism.”

Just today – twice – Palin said Obama “pals around with terrorists.” Sigh. Thankfully, it seems that more and more people are now seeing through this.

This election comes down to this: if it’s about lipstick on a pig, McCain wins. If it’s about the economy and healthcare, Obama wins. McCain’s own campaign manager said as much as this after the convention. Everyone on both sides knows it. That’s why for the next 30 days it will be nothing but slash-and-burn smears against Obama from McCain/Palin – and Economy, Health Care, and Jobs from Obama/Biden. We’ll see what happens, and what sticks this time around.

joesha: alright. I believe you. Sorry I got so mad. PS. It helps if you put a Jk or something to indicate you are joking, since you don’t have the tone of your voice or your facial expression to indicate you are kidding.

does it matter if we pronounce words wrong??

or is that just a sly joke…
