Sarah Palin and Republicans

Hacked-yes what else do you call someone who illegally accessed her email system?

Bill o’reilly-you mean the one who made the butter…other then that never heard of him. (i guess i’m unedugated in that subject)
Ann Culter-Is that the lady who moved to CBS for more money and primetime. I have’t actually watched any nightly news anymore becuase it is so depressing.

What TSS means is that he believes that Homosexuals are wrong or not doing the best thing they could be doing. They could be part of the Family of God but that woul require a removal of certain verses. Kinda rebellion in my view. If you are a Christian and a gay even though the bible does say that the idea is sinful and wrong. I don’t know…i can’t see you neing a true Christian (one who is growing in faith and in your belief) if you are still gay.

It really is easy to judge people who are far away. But that doesn’t mean that i can’t make certain base judgements on their own personal choices. Being gay makes your morale standards lower to me. That is the effect on me. Your morale standards have been lowered. That is basically it.

Just a quick question…try to find 5 good stories of people who lived with Homo (i’m going to call them that just to make it short) and 5 not so good stories and tell me how long it took to find each.

Just knowing of this as his only breach of any security, he’s a cracker, not a hacker. He may even be nothing more then a script kiddie.

And here’s some quotes from Bill and some from Ann.

Al-bob - Please stop quoting everything, it makes your posts hard to read.

And don’t put words into TSS’s mouth. If he thinks I need clarification for what he said, he will do it himself.

By “Homosexuals are wrong or not doing the best thing they could be doing,” what do you mean by this? The best they could do in order to be a “true Christian” in your eyes would be to conform by repressing their sexual urges by living a life of celibacy, or marrying someone of the opposite gender and putting up with it. And whether they never exhibited homosexual behaviour in their life time, it would never change the fact that they are gay. Just as even if a heterosexual person had a gay encounter, it would not automatically make them gay.

I don’t see how you seem to think that in order to be a Christian and gay you have to remove/ignore verses from the Bible, when I can bet there are many verses you choose to ignore, such as the two I already mentioned. In the Bible slaves were A-ok, and women were second-class citizens but is that ok, now? No. Because most societies’ morals have moved beyond that and we have more sense. There are rules in the Bible that have no relevance today and they will eventually go by the wayside (I hope.)

Yes, I’m glad you can admit it is easy to judge people, because that sounds exactly like what you do. Kind of hypocritical when the Bible says “Judge not lest ye be judged.” Maybe if you had more contact with people outside of your religion, and people from all different walks of life, you would learn to be less judgemental.

No, I am not going to do that stupid assignment as it doesn’t prove anything and there are too many variables for that to even prove anything. You want to know the quality of life of gay people? How about you actually lookup a study yourself by a reputable university…?

Okay… time out. We need a break and a good laugh. How is it that this did not make the thread?

nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/ … en/656281/

(Just a warning: The show is rated TV-14, but some of the language may not be work-safe - depending on where you work - or appropriate for younger ears.)

We all think it was hilarious. My sisters can’t stop quoting it.

I apologize for the excessive quoting…

TSS-i was putting my spin on what he said. I apologize again if what i say is not what he entirely thinks. But that is just my spin on it.

What kinds of reputable universities are there? ASU? No, UofA? No, Harvard? Nah…they’re most liveral. UI don’t know any uiversities that are equal oppertunity schools.

About the slaves and Women…yes your right. The bible does say that Abraham and most of the people had slaves. Why? If i read my bible correctly Jesus says that slaves were only to be from debt. If you owe you work it off.

As to going to teh wayside…i think that women to vote was cuased by a rebellion. Does that mean i hate women who are in high influencial places…no. Does that mean that i take culture and time over the bible…no. I believe that women stay at home and help with the family. Vote…yes. Lead…not unless they are called by God who can use anyone to his purpose. Take Joyce Meyer as an example…She is a leading evangelist.

Al-Bob- So you wouldn’t agree with a woman, for example, running for president, or that sort of thing?[/b]

All I said was that I don’t believe in homosexuallity. I strongly believe in a man and a woman coming together. But in a man finds happiness with another man, or same with a woman, then if they are happy, then let them be happy. I disagree with it, but I can’t force someone to separate.

to be honest i wouldn’t…but if god was driving the plan then maybe…

Well to get back onto the topic (of the Republicans), here’s the latest in a long line of unfortunate facts showing that what the McCain camp says isn’t worth the air used to say it.

Here’s the latest.
John McCain’s senior Campaign Advisor was paid $2 million dollars over five years to lobby to prevent regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

From today’s NY Times:
nytimes.com/2008/09/22/us/po … ref=slogin

Does anyone really believe that after 26 years in Congress, and voting with President Bush 91% of the time over the last 7 1/2 years, he’s going to be the “change” guy? Does anyone believe that as a vocal opponent of regulation from Day One, he’s now suddenly going to be the guy for regulation? Does anyone beleive his constant lie that he’s going to get rid of the lobbyists in Washington DC when his own campaign is nothing but lobbyists (including his top campaign advisor, his top foreign policy advisor, and his top economic advisor).

Random question:
If Palin and Lindsey Lohan where in a cat fight, who would win?

I say Palin. She’d kick Lohan’s butt.

I agree. McCain will most likely not do anything good for America (thankfully, nothing bad, either). But Sarah Palin looks more promising than Biden, Obama, and McCain combined. Why? Because she is the most average. :sunglasses:

O__o

Probably nobody, because Sarah would leave. Well, wasn’t that fun, Lindsey? xD

Al-bob - How would you know whether a woman winning presidency would be God’s plan or not? And finish this sentence: “A woman would not be able to fulfil her duties as president as well as a man could because…”

That’s a unique ideal. I’d rather have the best president then the most average one.

Being a woman does not prove your I.Q, knowledge and ideals and anyone who thinks that needs to step out of the 1950s. Unless it is in the woman’s favor. (JK)

To be honest, Sarah Palin scares the bejesus out of me.

Take a look at this for an example. If McCain shuffles off the mortal coil during presidency, she is the one left with her finger on the button and I do not trust her with her finger on the button if she says things like this.

Matt Damon says it nicely.

Women leading the country…now that i have been rereading on it my conclusio is that it is possible for God to use a female to fulfill his plan whether that be at home or at the oval office.

A women would not be able to fulfill her duties as president as well as a man becuase…men were created to lead.

Hey, she ain’t no Hilary Clinton, all right!

Actually, although I think it was sort-of a random choice, but I do think McCain made the right choice. And as y’all know, I’m still undecided, but I’m really leaning towards McCain, so I’ll support Palin in the debate on Thursday. Let’s just hope she doesn’t bring up the Bridge to Nowhere too much.

I was for Obama, but I’m now for McCain. Not for Obama anymore, people!!! Just wanted to clear any confusion about my stance. Check out the Barrack Obama and Joe Biden thread for why I switched.

(You can edit these two into one, if any mods come across this).

Well at least there’s some logic in your thinking and a clear reasonable explanation for your decision.
