Heheheh. Hmmm…
Well, on February 16, 2006, I
saw Sarah Vowell in the Lisner Auditorium at George Washington University, but 5 minutes after she was scheduled
to begin reading to us, a friend of hers walked onto the stage. She informed us that Sarah’s train had been
delayed due to a power failure, but she was still going to arrive. While we waited, they played one of her
interviews on NPR over the speakers. Later, her friend came back out with Sarah on her cell phone and told us
she would answer questions from the audience over the phone. I think she was 45 minutes late, but I was just
happy to see her. ![]()
When it was my turn in line, Sarah autographed my Violet action figure, the Violet
pages of my Incredibles Essential Guide, and my copy of Assassination
Vacation. I also gave her a copy of my drawing
“Viony” to keep, which I forgot to sign
myself! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/youwhaaa.gif” alt=“o_0;;” title="You

The End

Great story, PV!
I bet it was scary with her being late
and all…
Dear PV,
I must say you are one lucky person. You must have had a great time. I wish I
could meet her. Anyways, you giving her your own drawing is just cool. That must’ve been really special.
PV - Yes, very nice story indeed! I
love that “Viony” picture you drew, by the way. ![]()
