Sometimes its hard to tell if someone is being sarcastic of not. Maybe its just me but sometimes i get really nervous because someone posts like…

I am unable to choose any of the options you offer, Al-Bob, because

  1. I am not always honest with my replies,
  2. I don’t just use sarcasm when I’m angry (I use them for humor, too) and
  3. I don’t choose any particular person to be sarcastic with.

Haven’t as far as I remember. Other forum I frequent has an emote for sarcasm so you can tell when someone is being so.

Sarcasm detector, that’s a real useful invention.

The only time I be sarcastic is when I’m saying it as a joke, I don’t mean to offend anyone, usually when someone is being serious I be honest with them. :sunglasses:

I choose to be sarcastic when I am two things, angry or have an urge to make someone laugh.

Oh sarcasm. I tend to be sarcastic in person, but sarcasm is a bit hard over the internet so I don’t use it much. If I do, I make a point to make sure people know I was being sarcastic.

I know what you mean. It drives me nuts when somebody gives no clear indication their being sarcastic online. If I use sarcasm, I try and make it clear.

E.G. Yeah, because that’s REALLY gonna work, right? >.>

The way to tell if I’m being sarcastic is I’ll use a sarcastic smiley (usually). Otherwise you can assume I mean what I say.

In real life, a lot, but on the boards, very little. There’s just no point, because you end up confusing people because it’s on the internet, and everyone always takes you literally.

I sometimes wonder who is the most sarcastic person on PP. I might want to say Mitch, but the truth is, I really don’t know.
