I’m actually afraid of butterflies. They creep me out!
Where have all you people been all my lives? Seriously.
No offense meant to you, aerostarmonk or EJE, but I find myself reminded of the episode of Spongebob where everyone is afraid of Sand’y butterfly. Especially, when they do the close up. I admit, that was freaking creepy.
I tend to ignore the butterfly’s true face when I see one flutter by. They are a little hideous. No offense, butterflies of the world!

I’m glad you like the idea. I change my mind every so often about these characters- this one guy who becomes a friend was once a prince and is a resident of that world, but now I think it makes more sense he’s simply a disgruntled travelling ambassador of some kind who used to be in training to be soldier. Because it’s kind of amusing.
In any case, I’ve had various first chapters. But I think the one I may stick to is one where the British-Indian girl wakes up by herself near a market and is stared at because if her ‘weird’ clothes in this new city.
I myself am weird about certain flying insects. I think it increased a little when I got glasses- because then I got the idea of them getting trapped behind my glasses rather than as a rather effective barrier for some reason. I get edgy around butterflies and moths generally though I wouldn’t run myself. And of course I don’t care for wasps and bees (though of course without bees we’d be dead right now without them pollinating everything) either. For some reason though mosquitos and flies just annoy me, and I think ladybirds are okay but I only like beetles in general when they decide not to fly, otherwise I’ll just recoil or run for the hills if I saw one flying towards me. If they’re just crawling it’s okay. I think it’s the paranoia which comes from them being able to access three dimensions.
Yet somehow I like birds and bats.

Oh, winter is the worst! Some parts of it are charming: Christmas, the first snowfall, drinking hot cocoa to warm up, getting bundled up, etc. But after the 25th of December, it can all be done away with. When I compare the two extremes of summer and winter, winter is easily the worst. I got stuck in a white-out blizzard on the way back from school that was so bad it turned a 7-hour trip into about 36 hours. ARGH.
Mine too. I should be going to Tokyo for a study abroad thing next summer! I’m so excited I could pee my pants.
So jealous. I can’t even leave the country. Despite living 60 miles away from the border I’ve never crossed into Canada. I just don’t have the money for it.
I’m hoping I can somehow string the money together so I can go to SDCC. Yes I’m aware that it’s vastly overrated and overcrowded. But I haven’t been out of the metro area in 4 years and desperately need a geek pilgrimage.
I just hate this country and my state period. Our president doesn’t make me happy, but none of the candidates really would, because they’re all either extremists or I have a personal issue with them.
