EPISODES
Bloo’s"
- “Store Wars”
- “The Trouble With Scribbles”
-
“Busted”
- “Dinner is Swerved”
- “World Wide Wabbit”
- "Berry
Scary"
- “Seeing Red/Phone Home”
- “Who Let The Dogs In?”
- "Adoptcalypse
Now"
The first disc includes the episode “Store Wars”, which you
have the option of watching with character commentary.
The second disc has all the fun stuff. For those
times when you want random silliness, there are exclusive promos like Coco’s Can Can and beatboxing Bloo (my
fave). You can view a gallery of friends at Foster’s and learn their names, who imagined them, and what they
love to do. And don’t worry that none of the episodes show the gags during the end credits. There is a reel of
them in the extras.
For 2 discs of Foster’s fun, $15.92 is nothing to shake
a paddle ball at.

Heheh – I’ve wanted to watch those shows for a while now, but just never got
around to it. According to its rave reviews and popularity though, it must be good. I did happen to catch a part
of one episode in a doctor’s office once, and I must admit that I was sniggering pretty hard.
Thanks
for the information, though! And, by the way, is the Store Wars episode really
funny? 'Cause I’m a sucker for anything Star Wars-related…
Unfortunately, most fans are running into a major problem-NOBODY is carrying this DVD! I’ve looked just about
everywhere, with the exception of Target(will try them today), and nobody has it or has plans to carry it.
You’d think that as popular as it is, it would be in stock, but Noooooo…
Neithersparky, the Admin of
the Never Forgotten Foster’s Home Community Forum, did get a copy and posted some cover and insert art, and gave
us some indication of what was inside without being spoiler-ish. I do know that in the interview with Craig
McCracken, he brings up the subject of the Wilt fangirls, lol!
“Store Wars” actually has
nothing to do with Star Wars at all, beyond a play on words, but yes, it IS really
funny.

pitbulllady - Aw man – I was hoping it would be a spoof on the films… Oh well.
Thanks for the information, in any case.
Actually Mitch, there
is a Star Wars spoof in the episode "Challenge of
the Superfriends". Bloo becomes something similar to Darth Vader, and I recall an "I am your
father" line being spoken.
In the same episode, Mac dresses up like a sidekick and his costume has a
small “i”. What could that be a nod to?

Yeah, Foster’s is a great TV show, but it’s not
something that I’m willing to spend my hard-earned money on. The characters, story lines and the general
concept are all so unique though, that I hope other cartoons can follow Foster’s
example!
PV- Over at Boggs’ Board, we were analysing whether there was
another reference to a Pixar movie- in one scene, just briefly, there is an imaginary friend that bares an
amazingly close resemblance to MI’s very own Randall Boggs. He’s purple, lizard-like, has many limbs and even
has fronds! I think that the creators of Foster’s are able to appreciate a good movie company like Pixar
when they see one.

PixarVixen - Oh really? Cool! I’ll have to catch that episode on tv sometime.
Ha! “Challenge of the Superfriends”? You know where they got that from, don’t you?
(snigger)
Oh yeah! I’ve seen the ads for this! Although i’m not sure if I want it. I’ve got
soooo many dvds, i have little room for more (gotta do some major house cleaning) Plus I’m not sure if i’d want
every episode. Certain ones I dont really need. The Funny Bunny one and whichever seasons have Bloo’s house
party and the sleepover at Mac’s are ones I like a lot.
Oh I know that episode is from another season. I was just telling
Mitch about it.
