I remember that my mom and I were absolutely shocked when we heard the news. 'Twas probably the first time I had ever watched the news for a whole day straight…
May all the victims of the attack rest in peace.

That was a horrific day. so mane inocent amaricans died that day.
I have changed my avatar and sig to give respect to everone who died/lost love ones on that horrific day. ![]()
Years on, and we’re still thinking of those who were lost and those who have lost loved ones. We’ll never forget what has happened.
I personally hate to be reminded, but at the same time, I shouldn’t forget. Same way with a bunch of people I know.
I remember the whole day so clearly. It was scary. Thankfully no one I knew perished, but they were pretty darn close.
I remember that day as if it was yesterday… It was afternoon here in Portugal, and I remember seeing the second plane hitting the tower live on TV.
It was… a terrible sight. ![]()
don’t forget that the pentongon was hit too.
Ya I was in class when that happened. I didn’t believe it at first, I thought it was just a rumor or I misheard the news.
What is significant about today is it occured on a Tuesday.
Yeah my teacher wasn’t supposed to tell us but he did. When I heard one plane hit, I thought it was an accident, but when I heard a second plane hit I knew something was wrong.
Scarier for me since it was practically right in my backyard. Haveta say I hate the tourists who wanted to get a peek at Ground Zero- I’m less than a half an hour away and I didn’t set foot into the city until it was all cleaned up.
Hardly anyone’s gonna rest with those movies they made and the governmental swade with it for a stupid war.
Nexas: Yeah that’s the one thing I can’t stand. Never saw the films and don’t plan to. The footage of the attack alone makes me get a little emotional. They seriously shouldn’t have made a film at least until 10-20 years later. The government just wants to remind people and try to inspire them to join the war, IMO. I really don’t think they’re doing anything to protect America by being in Iraq. We should just protect our borders. But I’m getting a little off topic …
Actually your NOT so much FONY…
This topic is about September 11. Yes, not maybe the war, but September 11 does contribute to it.
It’s just a reminder, as you said, to encourage the young to fight for a cause…at first there was for the war…now there is no reason. A war without reason, but maybe blind temtation, is merely massacring chaos.
Yeah, it was such a sad day today. One of my friends decided to take the day off from school because of it. I hope for peace and joy for all of the affected ones.
I still remember where I was when I heard the news. ![]()
Nexas: I prefer live in peace and take care of our own country. I mean, they’re trying to save innocents over there, half of whom hate Americans and want us dead. I see no point in it.
Anyway, I have a spooky bit of ironic trivia …
In the movie Godspell (1973) they ended their song about good and evil “All For The Best” atop one of the WTC towers, back when it was still under construction.
It’s one of those parts of history where you don’t want to remember, but also cannot forget, just like the Holocaust.
It’s still hard for me and my family because we lost a 22 year old aunt who was pregnant at the time in one of the towers. ![]()
With the kind of leaders we have now, peace is a faulty word. Even so, a timid illusion that we won’t see too soon.
Nexas: Yeah I know, which is why I’m glad to have my own world to wander off to. I really disagree with how everything’s run in this world, more specifically this country.
PixarPixie: I’m sorry to hear that. =(
Aww PixarPixie, sorry about that. ![]()
PixarPixie- I’m so sorry to hear that.
And you’re very right- it’s something that we all just can’t forget.
