Do you guys & gals think Andy should find out that his Toys are alive before the end of the movie? It very well could end up being the last one.

Only if they want to continue the tradition of bad third movies…
I don’t think it’ll be a good idea. When I think about it, it might be interesting to see what leads up to them saying “We’re alive”, and Andy’s reaction, but in all seriousness I don’t see how it fits. I think it’s better for them to keep it under wraps for their safety and Andy’s sanity.
Maybe (even though we all know it won’t happen), there will be a little slip up. You know like maybe one of the toys is trying to sneak a way then at the last second, Andy catches 'em. Or maybe one of the toys moved and Andy thought he saw the toy in question come to life… so he takes a double take just to see that the toy’s not moving. Then he might go through what we all go through and think to himself “Hmm… maybe I’m just tired or something.”
All in all I don’t think it’s good idea.
Weird, once I had a dream that college-aged Andy found the toys alive . . . Al was in it, too, and I forget the exact thing, but Andy had to team up with Woody to save the other toys. Wow, what a dream! But in the movie? Don’t think so. That idea should just stay in my dream . . .
If Andy were to find out that toys are alive at the end of Toy Story 3, it probably wouldn’t end up being a good scenario. As I mentioned in another thread, Andy might end up being one of those maniacal type people, trying to convince everyone that toys are real and seeming like a bit of a crazy guy. That, or he’d put himself into psychotherapy thinking that he was mad. Either way, it’s not good. Hence why it probably won’t be included in Toy Story 3, as it just wouldn’t be great to see what a negative effect the toys might have on Andy.
I hope That never happens. But I´m curious about what happened with Sid now hé nows the secret and he already grown up.
Maybe he’s in an insane asylum
And Welcome to Pixar Planet Sumori.
I was kind of itching for this to happen, too. But looking at it from a realistic perspective, it really wouldn’t do well for Andy’s state of mind, and the way the story would carry out from then would be pretty complicated, and almost completely surreal. (“And then, all the toys could come to life before their owners and prove they were alive and had feelings. The end.”)
There was an old Toy Story comic I read a brief summary of - one of the green army men wanted of reveal his sentience to Andy, but Woody pointed out that as ‘toys,’ they were supposed to be vessels of the child’s imagination, rather than actual ‘friends.’ That got me thinking. Though toys are clearly sentient, they seem to find that their most valued role is to be played with - and seem to regard their relationships with each other, and their relationship with humans two entirely different things.
Personally, I wouldn’t want him to find out. It would ruin the series for me.
I had a dream once: that Andy (now ready to go to college) had the toys in a cardboard box in the corner of his room, debating about what to do with them. and as he’s about to fall asleep, Woody watches and says “We’ll always be there for you, Andy”. Andy looked up, clearly having heard the comment, but the toys were still, as they always had been.
I think the double take idea is a great one…He should hear or see something, do a double take, and see the toy lying as it was originally. It’d leave the audience, and Andy thinking…
Sid’s reaction, though thoroughly deserved, wouldn’t be pleasant for Andy to go through…
Andy should never find out!
It would ruin the whole series of movies and make them lose their magic.
We are supposed to feel like we are in on a secret or we are one of the toys and by Andy finding out the secret is out.
I do think, however, it would be comical, if finally, after being played with “too much” one of the toys reveals the secret to one of the preschool/daycare children. That would be amusing.
Andy’s apparently, going to die. Heard it somewhere, and it’s confirmed.
Whaaaaaaaaat??? No way! they can’t kill Andy!!!
Where on Earth did you hear this?!
He’s joking. I think. They wouldn’t have the guts to kill off someone as innocent as Andy.
I’m not kidding. Lee mentioned a murder, and the only human character we know would be Andy. Sorry guys.
I highly doubt Andy’s going to die…it wouldn’t fit into the story at all. Maybe a relative of Andy or a friend, but surely not him…and surely its not a toy

Yeah, he mentioned a murder.
Hahaha But when he mentioned a murder it was a metaphor…
even if he´s te real Lee… there´s no going to be a murder in the movie!
