Shrek The Halls...

Man I’m surprised this topic hasn’t been brought up already?

How many of you have actually seen it?
I enjoyed it a little more than Shrek 3 to be honest, even if it was only a half hour long.
Gingy being my favorite character as always!

Any opinions?

It had it’s moment’s but overall it was a shambles. Poorly scripted, poorly directed. Shrek, Donkey and Fiona seem to use the same lines over and over again from the movies and they are old and tired.

I felt they poorly tried to rekindle the feelings and storyline from Shrek almost. [spoil]Like when Fiona left and the Eels? song came on and Shrek was sad. Like the Hallelujah scene in Shrek[/spoil]

2/5 stars from me.

I see whatcha mean, I guess it was the storytelling parts that won me over (especially Gingy’s)

I also noticed some fine tuning in the animation as well. They’ve come a long way since the first Shrek. :-D)

i missed that. I had a night class to go to and i missed it. Will they replay it again before christmas?

Seeing not much discussion is going on with this, many don’t seem to have gotten the chance to see it.

So for SheriffChick and anyone else who hasn’t seen it, ABC says on it’s website that it will be aired again on “Tuesday, December 11 at 8/7c”

Yeah I didnt watch it. I thought about it, but I dont really like Shrek so I didnt bother.

It’s called Shrek the Halls? Wow. I already want to see it. So much. cough

Seeing some somewhat biased opinions (assuming lizardgirl’s statement was sarcastic) I’ll point out that you shoudn’ t take this “special” seriously, it’s just for a couple good laughs (which Dreamworks can be credited for at times).

*Good news! (for those who want to see it) It’s on Youtube now!

Pixfan- Oh yeah, I know it’s just a joke, but the general characters of Shrek and Donkey annoy me, so assuming that they’re going to be ‘in character’, so to speak, I’ll judge it on how funny I’ve found all the Shrek movies so far- that is, not at all.

I was disappointed by Shrek 3, moreso when I had to see it again with my little brother. It just made me realize how short it is and how lacking the plot is. I expect more out of them the next time around. Seems to me they’ve gotten confident enough that they wouldn’t have to put much effort in it, and the results were devastating. I personally was looking forward to more about [spoil]the babies[/spoil] but they didn’t put them in until the very end. :stuck_out_tongue:

I finally caught the replay of Shrek 3 tuesday. I thought it was cute for a short half hour show. Happy to hear the original voices reprised thier roles. I have to say that the babbies orges where so cute in this tv-made show.

I haven’t seen it, but my sister loves it. I was really disappointed when I saw Shrek 3. It wasn’t very good in my opinion. I did like the first two movies however. I am willing to see Shrek the Halls if it ever does come on again, just to see what it’s like.

I watched it today. It was funnier than Sherk 3.

I think when the ‘Everybody Dance Now’ song came on, I knew that the originality that Shrek once had is well and truly gone.
