The video has been removed, but you can see the thumnail. I’m dying to know what it was, or see it somewhere. are the characters singing carols or something?

Hmm, seems the video was removed due to copyright infringement, I actually hadn’t heard about this. Was this some kind of promotional thing for Toy Story 3 or just a holiday thing? Anyone who did see it, could you give us some insight?
I doubt it was really removed due to infringement, the only way this could have released is officially, am I right? Pixar’s own remix of Randy Newman’s “youve got a friend in me” was also taken down (and later replaced with a slightly different version) due to “infringement” when in fact they themselves put it up. So I dont put much into the reasons stated in this case.
Even if it was 8 seconds, I would have liked to see it. When I was little I used to think the 1st Toy Story was a Christmas film cause it came out close to the holidays, the ending took place on Christmas, and it was about toys (because as a kid you always seem to think that Christmas is just about getting toys).

I got the video back up on the blog today! 
Yeah, Pixar checks the blog regularly and since the user who uploaded it doesn’t own the copyright to that particular video, it could be considered copyright infringement.
I saw the clip on ABC Family today too, that’s probably where they got it.
Anyway, Walt Disney Pictures UK (official) got it on their YouTube channel so I guess it’s officially released.
P.S. Before I posted it I made sure with Lee Unkrich that it was OK to do so. I was surprised when Pixar pulled it…
That one’s in HD (or what youtube considers HD anyway), so that’s cool.
Honestly I don’t think Pixar gives a crap about this, its their trigger happy marketing/leagal team or whatever their called. they have separate people that look into infringing videos and remove innocent videos like this to feel like their being productive.
And when I posted this topic I thought maybe it was from Pixar’s official channel or something, so yeah that explains the video being removed.
That’s usually the case, but then it usually claims it was taken down by the request of The Walt Disney Company or somehting along those lines. It said pretty explicitly, Pixar Animation Studios. Apparently, they do care. I’ve gotten cease and decists from them before because of the blog, they’re very nice about it, but serious.
