So when does WALL-E take place?

I have a small question about which time WALL-E takes place in. You see, many official sources have different years for the movie.

2815 A.D on the soundtrack

2805 in the WALL-E Intergalactic Guide

So which one is it? I’m so confused! Please help me out. Thanks!

Well, obviously it’s somewhere about that sort of time, but I didn’t realise that their were differing dates. Both sources of information are official, so I don’t know which one we should believe the most. I always think it’s 2815, but just because of the sound track.

It’s 2805 because the first date on the wall of past captains is 2105 and the captain says it’s the 700th anniversary of the cruise.

I’ve always thought it was 2815, because of the song. But it could be 2805. I never really paid much attention because I knew it was about 700 years from now.
