Thanks, Star Swordsman.
Now that’s an interesting, albeit
plausible, idea. I agree with Gasduude: Nice thinking! I’m willing to bet that, if
cooking lessons are provided along with/on the DVD, ratatouille will be one of the recipes mentioned. ![]()
BorntothePurple: YOu are welcome.
Mitch: I am just trying to think up as many cooking
DVD ideas as possible for the DVD.
I wanna see deleted scenes,
character art, and cooking lessons.
A long documentary on the music score/Michael Giacchino – sorry if I misspelled that.
Aaand pretty much all the other stuff you guys have said!

Collete/Linguini,
As discussed in another forum topic somewhere (forget where) there WAS an interesting, funny short documentary made by Giacchino’s young son (showing daddy composing at home, interviewing dad about the music, showing the scoring sessions, interviewing the musicians). It looked quite professional (my guess is a professional edited it and polished it, but it was definitely his son doing the filming and interviews). I saw it at a screening, and it’s pretty funny. At the time it was shown, it was intended to be included in the HiDef (BluRay) version of the DVD, but there’s no mention of it in any of the DVD press releases. It has either been dropped, will be there on the disc but isn’t publicised, or perhaps is hidden as an easter egg. However it is NOT a long, comprehensive documentary. It’s probably about 10 mins long if I remember right, yet it is pretty funny and entertaining, and shows both dad composing at home and the recording sessions (with some musician interviews). My own personal guess is that if it wasn’t dropped, it’ll only be on the BluRay DVD (as originally intended) – especially if the normal DVD release is only a single disc. After all, there’s only so much information and extras you can put on one double-layer disc, and with the movie about 2 hours and all the advertisements and silly stuff that you always find on the disc, I’m not sure how much they can fit on.
Miafka,
That’s really interesting! I guess we’ll just have to wait for the dvds to come out to know for sure. I’ll only be getting the regular one (not Bluray), so if it is not on the regular, hopefully it’ll surface on youtube or something! Thanks for the info!
All the stuff that the Cars DVD didn’t have (Disney is evil) that I was expecting, but in its Ratatouille equivalent:
Commentaries
The Making of Ratatouille (in sections)
Easter Eggs
Deleted scenes
…and more!
