Sorry, but I have to comment about
this. There’s something I see A LOT of here and it’s a huge pet peeve of mine.
I’ve noticed a fair
amount of members posting here using poor spelling and grammar. It’s fine if you can’t spell with the best of
'em. I’m not asking everyone to be perfect. However, it’s not asking much of everyone to please read over
your posts before finalizing them.
Thank you. ^__~

Is there a spellcheck function
on this board? I haven’t found one so it’s hard to make sure everything’s correct. My spelling is pretty
good but it’s nice to be able to check.
-.-;;; I wont say anything…Nope… x_x
Hey i’m TRYING to keep my spelling correct here.
I’m pretty good overall . . . and sometime I’m may be slangish (like adding 'ish" to
an ending of a word) . . . But I really try not to use internet slang – thanx, u, r, whatev, b4 – stuff like
that.

Internet drives me bonkers. Although, I do use g2g and brb when I’m in a hurry to leave.
I’m not the best typer, and I tend to hit ‘Submit’ before checking over my writing. Old habits die
hard…
Internet slang is ok every so often, but it shouldn’t be used constantly. I try not
to use it unless I’m chatting with someone online, and even then I try to minimize using
it.

Lyk OMG i totally kno what ure talking about! <— I hate that!! Drives me crazy.
And then they start getting really into it and then it’s like… "LyK OmG i ToTallY kNo WhAt uRe TaLkIng
aBoUt!"
How do you even have time to do that??
Haha, 'net speak really drives me nuts. I can understand
maybe cutting down when you’re sending a text message on a mobile phone or something, but it’s not like it
actually takes you any longer to type in proper English on a computer… In fact, I think it probably takes
longer to type in 'net speak!
4 xmpl ths tuk me twc as lng as da rst o da pst bcs I hd 2 stp n thnk abt wot I
ws typn, OMG LOL BBQ!
I mean, really, how much longer does it take to put in the vowels?
Being an aspiring writer, correct spelling an punctuation is a big thing with me. I hate spelling things wrong,
and chatspeak or careless typing annoys me. I’ll put up with it, sure, but … it’s also a pet peeve of mine. I
try to avoid reading those sorts of posts … I haven’t seen much of it on here though …

I don’t usually mind the ‘lol’ and 'brb’s in
chatting (MSN, AIM, etc.) But in message boards, using it too often just looks annoying. I can’t read stuff
‘LiEK DiS’ and I absolutely despise ‘l33t’. If you have some spelling errors, that’s fine… nobody’s
perfect… but give my brain a break!
I’m using the OMG, LOL…-stuff mostly when I’m chatting with someone via icq. But I try to
minimalize this, as the most of you guys do.
And I apologize for wrong grammar in my posts, because I’m a 14
year old Austrian, which had 4 years English in school. And I’m NOT a mother-tongue.
But if I make some
really bad mistakes, please tell me via PM! Because I’m not sure the most of the time, if it’s right or
wrong.
I’ve got into a terrible habit of saying
‘lol’, but it’s sometimes a nice shortcut as it sums up what I may be feeling in relation to something. But,
apart from that, I keep my MSN chat away from forums.
