I decided that, after this one, I’ll lay off Bond for a while. After all, I’ve completed the Craig trilogy.
The Casino Royale intro is one of my favourite Bond openings, because Chris Cornell was one of the few male musicians to sing a Bond theme, the French horns and electric-guitars are heartbreakingly mournful, and the card-game vectors as well as the lack of the stereotypical naked ladies (not that I didn’t miss them, though) nicely brings Bond into a new age.
In fact, I used “You Know My Name” to Wall-E in my first fan music video (I don’t know if you’ve seen it?), and I know how to play the theme on the piano (with a scoresheet).
And somewhat off-topic (but it might interest you if you like motion graphics), a brony even did the entire opening with ponies.
Anyway, long story short, I have very good memories associated with this Bond opening, and your excellent sig certainly reminded me of them!

This was probably the first Bond film I saw. I remember borrowing it from VideoEzy, and then I looked through our bootleg VCDs (my parents had a collection) and discovering Tomorrow Never Dies with Michell Yeoh. My Bond fandom went a bit quiet from there before Casino Royale burst onto the screen a few years later.
