This could either be really interesting, or absolutely horrible. I hope they don’t make them talk.

This can be awesome (fan of the game) or stupid (EA hater - well, for The Sim & FIFA series only)
I’m not sure about this…It’s a pretty cool game, but movies based on games are usually terrible. I’ll wait until this develops a bit more before judging it, but it just seems a bit strange to me.
It can be a good movie but it’s not that likely. I guess if it’s done by Blue Sky Animation it shouldn’t be so bad.
Chris Wedge again? Don’t the Blue Sky folks have anyone else but him? I don’t know about the premise, but I think there are a lot more cooler video games to adapt; like Little Big Planet, Modern Warfare, Need for Speed, Uncharted, etc.
I agree with you on that thedriveintheatre. I’m having a hard time imagining what a Spore movie would look like when there are clearly other games that deserve to be…movie-fied. Bioshock for example.
Forget the newer games. How bout Sonic the Hedgehog? Metroid? Castlevania? Zelda. I know there is a way to do Zelda as a movie, and still do justice to the franchise, and definitely not have Link talking, aside from small phrases. I don’t care if it’s straight to DVD, or a pack-in with a game or something, but I want to see a live-action Zelda.
I can kinda see Spore, though. I know little about the game, and I don’t even know if a story exists, but it seems pretty popular, plus I can see the appeal of the all the crazy, different creatures in an animated movie.
Even though I adore Spore (hey, that rhymes) I think a movie would be hard to make, especially sticking to the original storyline of the game and the way everyone’s creatures are different…
But I have faith in Blue Sky… I loved the Ice Age films, and Horton, too.
