So what’d ya’ll get up to on Saint Pat’s Day?
I didn’t do anything (even though I should have since I’m of Irish heritage), but I did wear a green t-shirt even if I didn’t make the connection until the late afternoon…

Well, my St. Patricks day has been uneventful so far. Most of my college classmates are going to go out and drink, but since I don’t drink, I’ll just chill at home.
And no I did not wear any green today.
Yeah, I don’t drink either, TSS. Even though I’m an Australian of Irish descent. Guess I didn’t get the drinking gene. I would like to try some Guinness one day, though.
I didn’t do anything today, even though I’m also partly Irish. I didn’t even wear green. I only got pinched 2 times.
I hope that the “Luck of the Irish” was with me today, I had my CAHSEE exam. (California Academic High School Exit Exam) I would really hate to not pass that.
rachel: I tried alchohol before. I hated the taste. So I just stuck with soda as my drink of choice.
I wore green today- a t-shirt with shamrocks that form a heart (used to be sparkly, but it’s kinda old now, and faded). I was searching for something green to wear and that was all I could find. Weird how I don’t have so much of my favorite color! And I wore a green butterfly necklace. I didn’t really do much today, though…it was kinda treated like any other day. However, I did formulate some fanart ideas in my head in honor of St. Patrick’s day (for example, EVE searching for a four-leaf clover. I mean, it’s a plant, so why not?).
That’s interesting. I wore a t-shirt with shamrocks that form a shamrock, (it still is sparkly). I also wore green pants. I usually do, since I am half-Irish.
I wonder… who here has actually found a four-leaf clover?
Anyway, I hope everyone had a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I wore a green sweatshirt and had a shamrock shake from McDonalds. Love those! That’s as festive as I got though. I worked, had class where we went on a field trip to a couple art galleries, and then I did some work on my stop motion set.
Although I’m not Irish, I wore a dark green polo to school today just for kicks. Nobody else in my class seems to be aware of this occassion, cos’ none of them wore green. Then again, maybe none of them were Irish.
Not much festivities in Sydney, at least to my knowledge.
I’m not really a fan of alcohol either, they taste bitter (obvious statement!).
Anyway, Happy St Pats to Irish people everywhere! WIsh I could go down to Chicago River to watch the river run green.
I had an invitation to a friend’s 18th birthday party, but knowing the sheer amounts of alcohol involved and not wanting to have a hangover the next morning in a maths lesson, I didn’t go. It wasn’t a proper party, just a bunch of people all going out to the local club, and unsurprisingly the birthday girl didn’t come into Sixth Form today.
So I didn’t do anything for Patty’s day really. I usually wear green anyway so the green top I wore wasn’t anything special. In all honesty, most people didn’t seem to realise it was St. Patrick’s Day at all, but one year I’d love to go to Ireland and see the celebrations there.
I’m not Irish, and i’m not really a fan of drinking.
So St. Patrick’s day probably isn’t for me
Needless to say, I did nothing.
My mom used to find a lot in her garden. I’m not kidding.
Oh, and that’s a cool shamrock you typed up!
I think someone oughta make an avatar or signature with Mike Wazowski for St. Patrick’s Day…after all, he’s all green!
Thanks! It actually took slightly longer than I had thought it would.
…And cool! So I’m not the only one who’s found a lot of four leaf clovers. When you look close to the ground there are more than you think. I actually have found five leaf clovers, and know people personally who have found six, seven, and if I am not mistaken, even eight leaf clovers!
I think the record is a 17 leaf clover… Now that would be cool to have!!!
C-3PO: Yeah, four-leaf clovers are more popular than some people think.
I just want to let everyone remember that St. Patrick’s Day is more than just drinking, the spirit of the color green, or just for Irish people. It’s a holiday in honor of a real person Saint Patrick.
Oh dear goodness I hope you passed that! It was the easiest test I’ve ever taken in my life. I’m ashamed to admit that I missed one question on it. If that’s all you need to know to graduate from high school, then oh dear goodness. The people who fail…several times…scare me.
In other news, on St. Patrick’s Day, I ate green eggs for breakfast and wore a green shirt and then wore an obscenely green swimsuit to practice. It was so bright that it reflected off the bottom of the pool.
Well I am a little part Irish, but wouldnt you know, the one day I have scheduled class has to be that day! And It was a class I couldnt afford to skip. So I missed most of the fun, although I did buy a 4-pack of Kahluas the week before cuz I knew this would happen, so I had that later on in the evening. (just one though! I didnt drink the whole 4-pack at once! )
St. Patty’s is my mother’s birthday, so she always has a really green day. And this year she turned the big 50! At least it’s easy to remember when her day comes around each day. (We gave her green eggs and milk in bed)
I am the 1001 person to view this page. AWESOME
I usually wear this green “Ireland, Celtic Nation” shirt I bought when I visitied Ireland. It’s legit.
Resurrecting this thread to wish everyone:
Happy St Patrick’s Day! Or in Irish, “Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Daoibh (la ale-lah pwad-rig son-ah jeev)!” Oh look, I’m green.
Is fearr lán doirn de cheird ná lán mála d’ór!
That’s one of my favorite Irish proverbs for the day!
Actually, here’s my favorite. I’ve been hunting down the Irish Gaelic translation of it, but no sites list it!
“May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live”
