"Summer Curse"?!?

Has anyone noticed that the three Pixar films that have opened in the summer have all had dedications to truly talented artists at Pixar who have left us way too soon. Nemo had one to Glenn McQueen, Cars had one to Joe Ranft and now Ratatouille had one to Dan Lee. So, has anyone else wondered about this. Is it a curse or simple coincidence. Any thoughts?

Hmm. Your right, Mister Incredible. I have never noticed that.

I guess we’ll have Wall*E next summer to watch out for. o_0

Eheh. You know, I never did notice this until you pointed it out; however, I don’t believe that it’s a curse – more like a freaky continuation of disastrous events that occur in a pattern. I would merely call it a coincidence, albiet a rather unusual one.

Who’s next? Brad Bird? Heh. Let’s just hope that it doesn’t happen again…

Heheh… no. Simple coincidence.

DON’T EVEN JOKE!!!

I would normally say coincidence but as superstitious as they are at Pixar about this kind of thing I’d be warey. I borrow a line from V in V for Vendetta where he says, “There are no coincidences, only the illusion thereof.”

Well, given the vast number of employees at Pixar, there would be bound to be a few deaths every year - unfortunately.

I agree with that but the number of high level/high profile deaths and their tragic tendency and occurence to relatively young people is beyond disturbing.

Heh. I figured I’d get my butt kicked for saying that… :stuck_out_tongue:

Bud Luckey is getting “up there” in his years, isn’t he? I’m not sure how old he is exactly, but I know that he’s a fair bit more aged than other Pixar employees.

Oh well. Let’s abandon the death issue. Heh.

– Mitch

yes let’s

I think it is just a coincidence. I don’t believe in curses. But if the streak does continue, I will be very apprehensive.

I’m sorry, Mitch, but I also must kick your butt for that remark. kicks Mitch’s butt

I hope you’ve learned your lesson, young lady. :stuck_out_tongue:

~~=oP

I guess the phrase “hold your tongue” really does have some meaning to it… :stuck_out_tongue:

Poor Mitch. Well, all is forgiven now!

The Star Swordsman - Puh-ha! Thanks, but I’m perfectly fine and dandy. I live for sarcasm…

Oh my, I never really thought of that but I dont think that’s a curse. It is weird how that keeps happening though.

Would of never figured that out :frowning: It does sort of seem like a curse.
