Super Mario Bros- 25 years in the making

25 years ago on Sep- 13 1985, Super Mario Bros was released. It quickly became a hit and soon ir would be known all around the world. It would go on to have many seuals such as Super Mario Bros 2 and a diffrent Super Mario Bros 3 in the US. Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy and so on. Mario and Donkey Kong will turn 30 years old next year, they made there first appance in Donkey Kong in 1981. I absolutely love the Mario games. I really do. I think that Super Mario Sunshine is the most nostalgic for me, though. It reminds me of when Me and my siblings used to be big into Mario… ;-p Aww… those were the days…

…I still draw fanart for the games, though. The characters are so memorable and super fun to draw! :mrgreen:

I was a big SEGA and Sonic fan when young. Mario didn’t appeal to me at the time because he just seemed so slow in comparison. Then one day I went to my best friend’s place and he had the brand new Nintendo 64. I was astounded the moment we booted up Super Mario 64 at how amazing it was. After a few rounds of Mario Kart I was completely hooked. Mario ruled! (I still love Sonic, too!)

Shame my fandom isn’t Mario right now though. It was my first obsession, though. Awesomeness.

Haha, actually, I’ve been drawing Mario fanart for like, the past week or so… :stuck_out_tongue: And I’ve also been trying to beat Super Mario Sunshine again for about the millionth time. :laughing: I think I got sucked back into the fandom again… :slight_smile:

Mario isn’t quite my all time favourite video game series, but it sure as hell is up there, so Happy 25th, Mario :slight_smile:
