Thought I’d start a thread for this here since a couple people were talking about it in the Movies thread. I think this looks like a really neat concept and a good action movie, and I’m always a fan of the Bruce.
Here is the trailer in case anyone hasn’t seen it yet. Comes out September 25th here, so still have to wait a month but it’s not like I haven’t waited forever for other movies either! 
What do you guys think?
As most of you who know need me would know, I’m a huge fan of Bruce (one of my catchphrases is his “Yippee-ki-yay” line from Die Hard), so naturally, I’m really looking forward to this! I love action films that present interesting themes, I mean, yes, I love the explosions, and shootouts, and car chases and whatnot, but if it has a captivating storyline and some ‘brain-candy’ to go with it, that just makes my day!
And this has heaps of both! This is like, Second Life the Movie! Not to mention, as I have said on the Movies thread, that it is coming out amidst similar-themed ‘virtual-reality selves’ movies like Avatar and Gamer. But I’m sure it’ll hold its own.
Here’s the official site, which just has been revamped… You can create your own ‘Surrogate’ and go on a virtual tour of V.S.I., the film’s ‘evil corporation’. Be sure to check out the Science Facts Featurette, which has some pretty cool (and chilling) footage of the technology of mind-controlled bots today.
BTW, Bruce’s surrogate’s mop-top is hilarious!

thedriveintheatre: That Science Facts featurette was definitely interesting! Have you read the graphic novel the movie based on? I heard that the themes Venditti explores are really interesting - brain candy, if you will!
A couple online sites got to do an Edit Bay Visit w/ Jonathan Mostow - more interesting stuff! I have to say, the more I see/hear about this movie, the more intrigued I am!
The trailer for this played before my viewing of Pelham 123 yesterday, and my friend sitting next to me turned and said 'This looks cool."
Me, being my usual depreciating self, replied “It looks like Second Life: The Movie.” But I could barely contain my excitement.
Bruce Willis FTW!
I am really hoping for a Bruce Willis win for this too! I saw the preview again this weekend, and it does look pretty freakin’ cool, mostly because HE is pretty awesome. He might be one of my favorite action stars - who doesn’t love it when he’s saving the world from terrorists, an asteroid, surrogate-killers, etc?

Looks like you beat me to it, CoCoMeister! The 2nd trailer looks more action-packed than the first!
