Syndrome’s got cool gadgets.
EVE’s got cool gadgets.

If EVE went in a time machine to 1962, or if Syndrome went in a time machine to 2815, and for some reason, they got into a fight, who would win? Syndrome or EVE?

Just curious about the strength of their gadgets. The real question is, who’s gadgets are stronger?

I’ve noticed many similarities, too:

Syndrome has a nearly indestructible robot, EVE is a nearly indestructable robot.
Syndome’s zero-point energy ray, EVE has something similar which she uses to accept the plant from WALL•E.
Syndrome’s gun; EVE’s gun.
Blue eyes.

I guess I am the only one who voted for Syndrome.

Syndromes Robot. Depends on whether or not he’s faced it against a super with a similar laser blast. Otherwise EVE could fly circles around it and blow it to bits.

As for the Zero Point beam, you notice in Wall-E that there are different colored beams. I wonder if they have different uses. Maybe the Red beams are for use on moving objects and able to freeze them in place but the blue is only able to hold static objects, like the plant or to push in the scout ship. If that’s the case then Syndrome only need get EVE in his ZPB and would only have to worry about the laser cannon.

Geeking out

Well, if EVE does destroy Syndrome’s Omnidroid, he can just build another one with major modifications and a lot smarter as well.

Fett101: I remember those beams. I usually gues that the blue and red signify different levels of authority, but i could be wrong.
TSS: Oh, even thought that’s not in the movie, i got a bit scared for EVE when you said that. :astonished:

Well, I think EVE would blow Syndrome to bits. I don’t think the Omnidroid would make it any harder, EVE is major technological competition. Why don’t we make this into a who would win topic, mind changing the title A113?
Anyways, I think the color of the beams are just the way the film makers symbolized the good and the bad, think Star Wars and the lightsabers. The characters just don’t think about it, the humans don’t think about much do they, and the robots shouldn’t care about which color beam they have?
Quick sarcastic addition: This conflict between EVE and Syndrome would never happen 'cus Syndrome is dead, and Pixar wouldn’t degrade their characters/stories like that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, i think i get it now. Thanks, Martin! That’s really plausible.

btw, isn’t it already?

I mean changing the title to “Who Would Win”, because if somebody else had an idea to pit other characters against each other, it would technically be off-topic.

Oh, i see. Sorry.

Well, if it is a battle between the Omnidroid and EVE, I would vote for the Omnidroid, with good reasons too. First off, I don’t think EVE’s laser is strong enough to penetrate the Omnidroid’s armor. Second, I don’t see EVE trying to get the Omnidroid trying to destroy itself again. In the Final battle, Mr. Incredible launched one of the Omnidroid’s claws into the heart of the robot. I don’t think that the Omnidroid, being a learning robot, would stab itself over and over again. Plus, EVE is kinda small and she seems so fragile. I bet that one hit from the Omnidroid would be the knockout.

If the Omnidroid and EVE got in some kind of fight, i wouldn’t be surprised if they killed all of humanity before they both destroyed each other. XD

I’m wondering how strong EVE is. She’s not really made for fighting; she’s a plant evaluator! But she does have one powerful weapon. It was strong enough to destroy a BnL Ship, a rock-thing (molten lava!!11), and a police robot.

But not a cockroach.

I think EVE might be able to defeat the Omnidroid for a few reasons:

  1. She can fly, and she’s small, therefore more “moveable” than Mr. Incredible.
  2. She’s quick to respond to things.
  3. She has a capture beam, and the Omnibot doesn’t.
  4. She’s a female! lol jk

I think the Omnidroid might be able to defeat EVE for a few reasons:

  1. It’s a learning robot.
  2. It has very strong armor.
  3. It is built to fight.

But EVE is quicker, and she could easily shoot out the Omnidroid’s eyes, since they can be destroyed by a manhole flying through the air at a high speed.

Well, I think her beam could possibly break through its shell, her laser is pretty strong!
And if it didn’t I’m sure EVE would find another way to outsmart the Omnidroid. Also EVE is much more agile than the Omnidroid, allowing her to escape, and do tricky moves. Let’s just agree to disagree.
Anyways, who do you think would win:
Skinner or Ego?
It’s kind of random, but who do you think would beat the other?

Ah, time for the counterarguements.

  1. She might be more moveable. And yes, she has excellent flying ability. The best thing for EVE to do is be unpredictable with her flying. I can’t argue with that. If she stays on her toes (or keeps moving around alot so the Omnidroind can’t learn her movements) she will probably be able to dodge all of the Omnidroid’s attacks.

  2. I question how strong the capture beam is. Sure she can lift a plant, but I doubt that it is stong enough to list a giant robot.

  3. Take note, the laser can be taken out with an object moving at incredible velocity and force. Not the eyes. Remember that in the first battle with the Omnidroid, Mr. Incredible ripped the Omnidroid’s vision eye off. I don’t think Eve is stong enough to do that.

Since Auto is part of the Axiom he’d win easy. Just vent the atmosphere where Randall is.

You changed your challenge Martini

Martini: It all depends. Ego can really terroize Skinner by writing him a bad review. BUt in a physical combat, I see Skinner having the more rough side.

Sorry Fett. Here, I’ll repost it:
Who would win
Randall or AUTO?

I’m sorry guys, but i created this thread because i wanted to know what we all thought of Syndrome’s and EVE’s gadgets. I’ll make another topic for these other ones, though; they’re really interesting.

B-on-T:

What i’d also like to know is when Violet is using her force field, she can feel weaker if there is too much pressure. But why, when Syndrome is holding the truck, he doesn’t feel a thing?

GO•4 once used some kind of capture beam to contain EVE (poor EVE  ), and i don’t remember exactly what she could do, but she could move a bit. When Syndrome uses his zero-point energy ray, the matter does not move within the ray, but the ray moves with Syndrome’s movements. Violet’s force field seems to stay stationary, but you have to remember the rotation of the Earth.

Now that you mention it, she was kind of weak when it came to that magnet, but she solved that problem quickly. It seems that the only thing that can stop EVE is energy. As long as she has her ion cannon (or whatever it’s called), i think she’s safe. But the Omnidroid could learn that pretty quickly, and try to destroy the cannon, so EVE would have to be quick, which she is.

A113: If I can remember correctly, the theory behind zero-point energy is to make objects feel wieghtless. THat is why when he zapped the family and the truck, he didn’t feel any pressure on him. His zero-point-energy beam is supposed to immobilize objects or people and make it easy for Syndrome to lift them.

So, i’m wondering if EVE feels anything when she uses her capture beam, like Violet, or is it infinitely easy like Syndrome’s 0ptE-Ray?

If it’s like Violet’s force field, then she might not be able to throw the Omnidroid around due to its extreme weight.

If it’s like Syndrome’s 0ptE-Ray, then she could definitely do it with ease. Bye-bye, big bad bot!

I don’t think EVE’s capture ray’s purpose is to harm anything. I think the only weapon shes got would be he blaster, but I don’t think the capture beam would harm anyone.
