Whoa, that soundtrack is pretty awesome! I think disney is gonna enter another golden age.
Some more concept art from the HellYeahTangled blog:
Mother Gothel might be the most sneaky-looking female villain since Cruella!
More great Glen Keane sketches, including ‘Naked Rapunzel’!
Here’s a full-scan of the Graphic Novel someone kindly uploaded. Be warned, though, the first page you see is the final page (I hope I can forget the ending by the time I see this movie ), so SPOILERS WITHIN.
And here’s quite possibly the best fan-made stop-motion video I’ve seen for a Disney film:
Tangled reviews coming next Wednesday - but for now, soundtrack review! onemoviefiveviews.wordpress.com/ … w-tangled/
Thank you so much for the soundtrack review! Can’t wait to read all your Tangled reviews as well There have been a few reviews popping up here and thereand they’ve been really positive so far!
Meantime, here’s an interview of the fabulous Zachary Levi.
And…just for fun: look who took in a hockey game in LA the other night!
You know, I am considering going to see this film, aside of the very first trailer (the one on my Beauty and the Beast blu ray that I mentioned a few pages back) it has grown on me for some reason. Not hugely excited about it but it could be a good watch at the very least
I’m not looking at the soundtrack until I see the movie I’ve decided it, and it’s so hard, but I feel like it’ll be even better if I wait it out. From what I’ve read it’s ammazing, though
^Same here. Trying to avoid doing it like with Princess and the Frog last year. Thank God I didn’t have cable!
A new official image:
With another Japanese trailer, new sequences and footages included. youtube.com/watch?v=gViLn6HjmW8 Enjoy!
that Japanese trailer made me tear up! the new picture is equally gorgeous, only 5 more days in the US! I cannot wait!
I’m SUPER excited. I saw a very funny clip from the movie online, and it’ll probably become a popular internet meme. I, of course, speak of the “why sir, there’s a lot of blood in your mustache” bit. Its disturbing, but its funny because I didn’t expect to hear that in a kids movie.
…In fact, they ruined one of the movie’s best surprises!
Screw Japan. They get all the good stuff. I love America, but dangit, sometimes our “hip and sassy” culture gets on my nerves.
But that picture…my God. I had already made the Japanese poster (the one with Flynn and Rapunzel on the boat) my desktop, but I might just change…
And every new clip I see of Flynn and Rapunzel makes me love them even more, and makes me believe that they might just be my new favorite Disney couple.
That picture makes me think on what some people is going to write in fanfiction.net after seeing the movie
Tangled seems like its going to be an awesome film, I hope that it will DESTROY megamind at the box office
Thanks for finding my new wallpaper, Danachii.
I’m in love with this movie and I haven’t even seen it yet.
Wow, I can’t wait to see this movie, it looks absolutely amazing already. Sadly they have barely advertised it here, all we have is the first teaser trailer and it’s not even full. Heck, we are all Asians and we don’t even have the wonderful stuff like Japan.
And as mush as I hate to bring this up, I ran into this video (beware, foul language in comments) on You tube this morning, and when I actually looked it up I found this. (I don’t think that’s Video Brinquedo, it could be any other infamous low-budget studios).
This is why I just wait for the Japanese trailers for animated films before making decisions about them.
That Japanese trailer has made me wanna see the film o__O;
I saw the trailer a third way through until Rapunzel started explaining to Flynn that [spoil]she wanted him to take her to see the lights[/spoil], then I stopped. Is this trailer spoiler-free? Cos’ although the Japanese trailers are almost always more beautifully presented than the American/International ones, they are notoriously spoilerific (Exhibit A: The Up trailer).
I agree, I can’t see what’s wrong with unabashedly promoting the beautiful and sentimental aspects of the film, instead of going for what’s ‘cool’ or ‘flavour-of-the-month’. Is anyone going to remember Pink when we show the trailers to our grandkids? An orchestral score with beautiful images would be more universally-appealling.
TDIT: It’s not nearly as spoileriffic as the Up trailer. If you’ve seen the international trailer, you’ll be fine. But if you want to be 100% safe, then stop at 1:50.
I watched the whole thing myself, I don’t feel “spoiled” as it were.
I’ve seen the film, and personally, I’m glad that I hadn’t seen this trailer beforehand. But the thing is, even American trailers often do show a lot of the film, you just don’t realize it until you re-watch them after the film.
I’d say if you want a complete surprise going in, don’t watch this trailer just yet. The film is really good, and I think in some ways, it is cool just finding everything out as you go along. That’s the way I watched it. Another film I didn’t know a whole lot about going in, was How To Train Your Dragon, and I think I also enjoyed that one even more because the surprise of what the film actually turned out to be like.
In some ways, I find that a lesser trailer sometimes allows me to enjoy a film more than one that blows me away… It’s all about how high your expectations are when you go in. Generally with any film, if you have really high hopes from the trailer, the full film had better fulfill them.
But in direct answer to your question: Yes, some things in this trailer could be considered spoiler material.
