Tangled

Good to know, it’s not been out long here (I think it came out on the 7th or 9th), but I hope to see it.

Plus as someone who needs to wear normal glasses all the time (except say when I’m at the computer/reading a book), it’s a bit weird wearing two pairs of glasses at the same time, you have to be careful sometimes when wearing them.

We meant 3-D animation. But thanks for the warning for not spending extra money on 3-D for only one scene…

I’ve kind of gotten used to it, having seen a good deal of 3-D movies in the last two years, but it’s still pretty annoying. I try to only do it on movies that look like they’d especially benefit from the effect, i.e. How to Train Your Dragon (well, I didn’t get to see that in 3-D, but I wanted to). I think Avatar would’ve been much more enjoyable in the format as well…I had to watch it on a tiny 20-year-old TV.

Sadly, Tangled wasn’t nominated for ‘Best Animated Feature’ this year at the Academy Awards.

However, “I See The Light” was nominated for Best Original song (also was ‘We Belong Together’ from Toy Story 3)

That’s a shame, but considering how good Tangled was, I really need to see The Illusionist.

I was hoping the nomianations would be “HTTYD, TS3, & Tangled”. Tangled was a fantastic movie, it makes me wonder about the Illusionist, I need to see it!

Mmm-hm! I didn’t even realize Tangled wasn’t nominated until right now, I was sp excited for TS3. I hope it wins for “I See the Light.” I love that song so much. And I really seriously have to see The Illusionist too. It must be pretty good!

Too bad they didn’t have 5 noms like last year. That would fix it. Poor Disney…I thought they had it this year.

^ They deserved it. They pulled off an old-fashioned fairytale in today’s world. I’m proud of them for going back to their roots either way. I love Disney <3

Me too. I’m one of the few members here who likes Disney as well as Pixar.

Really? :open_mouth: It just seems like the two go together for me. You can’t have one without the other. I don’t know which I like better, even. Disney’s so classic

I like them about the same, sans the Disney channel.

 that goes without saying. I’m not a fan either. It makes me shiver to think that goes under the name of Disney

ESPN is responsible, though. Thank God. :sunglasses:

It is a shame that Tangled wans´t nominated,it was a pretty good movie and i actually liked it better than How to train your dragon (haven´t seen “The Illusionist”) good thing that “i see the light” was.

I agree with this whole paragraph. But it was a tough race this year just to get nominated, there were so many fantastic animated films this year.

There were a lot this year! I wish it was nominated though :frowning:

And with the whole “I See the Light” thing, does anyone think there’s a chance we could get it??

The same thing that happened last year might happened, since two Walt Disney Studios films (Tangled & Toy Story 3) have songs nominated.

Last year 2 Princess and the Frog songs were nominated. In a perfect world people would cast their Academy Award ballots based on their favorite songs, and some do. But Academy Members with a perfernce or are somehow relaetd to WDS were caught between voting for Almost There and Down in New Orleans. What happened was a song from Crazy Heart won. If only one P&tF song was nomianted, they would of had the chance because all the votes would of went for the song in that movie. That might happen again this year.

That’s just a theory. But then again Alan Menkin’s songs have always been popular with the Academy, we’ll have to wait and see.

I really hope they get something at least. :frowning:

Tangled now has taken my number 1 spot of my favorite Disney Animated movies. I can’t wait to watch it again. I hope it comes out on DVD/blu-ray soon.
