I’m glad that Disney is putting story before money.
I read and summed it up like this: “We’re not DreamWorks. We make GOOD sequels. Not crappy ones that should be direct to DVD and Blu-Ray, not in the theaters.”
I’m actually quite excited that they even mentioned that there’s the possibility for a sequel! I feel like Disney really needs to redeem themselves in the whole sequel department, if John, Nathan, and Byron are all behind it then so am I!
Thank God for John Lasseter.
haha amen to that sister!
Haha, high five, woody!!
I only want a sequel if it’s good but this is exciting! Yes!!
A side note, it’s almost John Lasseter’s birthday
Sweet, what day?
JL’s birthday is January 12.
Sweetness!
Woah. Really? We should all make cards, and send them to him.
Okay so I just saw Tangled… And honestly I didn’t expect anything from it. But I was wrong. This movie completely blew my mind. It is seriously awesome! The feeling I got when I watched it was close to what I felt when I watched the classics. Yeah, I think it’s even better than some Pixar films… GOD JOB DISNEY!!!
I like what you said JJejja, that’s exactly how I felt about it. Nice avatar by the way!
I’ve been thinking that it’s a shame that there can only be three nominations for Best Animated this year at the Oscars. If they were doing five, the line-up would probably look something like this…
How To Train Your Dragon
Toy Story 3
Despicable Me
Tangled
The Illusionist
I think we all know HTTYD and TS3 are most likely going to be there, but it will be a real toss-up for that coveted third spot. There have been a lot of quality animated films this year.
If Tangled was nominated, it would be like the nomination slate back in 2008 which was WALL•E, Kung Fu Panda, and Bolt. Pixar’s latest, a quality DreamWorks film, and a very good CGI Disney film.

I know what you’re saying One Movie, Five Views. A lot of movies deserve a nomination, I wish they were allowing 5! I really, really hope that Tangled is nominated.
If I could singlehandly choose nominations!:
Toy Story 3
Tangled
How to Train Your Dragon
Thanks
When I saw Disney was doing 3-D for tangled, I thought they were ruining the tradition. Even thought it was 3-D… It felt like the Old disney classic and not the Disney Channel Movies but Anyway, This is one my favorite disney movies
^ That’s exactly how I felt! At first I was really disappointed, but when I saw it it didn’t seem like a 3D movie, it felt like classic Disney. It felt like regular good old 2D animation, and kept the tradition alive. That’s why I loved it. So classic Disney.
I felt the exact same way you guys! I was so disapointed when I found out, but I’m glad they did it the way they did, it’s perfect. But I felt that Tangled was much more ‘traditional Disney fairytale’ than The Princess and the Frog. I love both of course!
When I saw Tangled with my mom and cousins, we had to see it in 3D because it was the only time we could get. In short: don’t. The 3D was barely there, and there really weren’t any scenes that needed it besides the lantern scene. It could have just as easily been in 2D without the annoying glasses.
