Not gonna lie, in Disney Stores I look at the wide, wide selection of female Disney dolls, their significant others, and various clothes and accessories for them that weren’t around in the early 90s, and my inner five-year-old wants to buy them ALL.
And American Girl dolls. It’s sad. It’s not like I would even play with them, really. But I love all of the details and historical clothes and stuff. I’ve been seriously tempted to buy Felicity, since she’s on the way out, or maybe totally out, and her clothes are so awesome. But I just can’t justify spending a whole paycheck on a doll D: college expenses to start thinking about, you know. And the shred of dignity I have left haha.
I’m into that too now! Well, I want to get more of them anyways! I only have Rapunzel, I got her for Christmas too, but now I’m gonna ask for a Princess doll every birthday or Christmas, and hopefully I’ll start up my collection. Which is weird, since when I was little I didn’t like dolls. Now I do. I’m growing up backwards or something
When I was growing up, whenever I’d go to Disneyland, I’d buy a porcelin Disney doll. I have Tinker Bell, Mary Poppins, Aurora, Belle, Mulan and Jasmine. But the last time I went I really had to search, they’ve stopped making them. Which is a shame, I’d love to have a Rapunzel or Tiana one.
OMG Disney dolls… I had an Ariel one back in the good old days, my sister has a Belle one and I had an Anastasia one…That’s not a Disney princess but I loved her as well. But I saw a kid with a Raunzel doll in the mall and it seemed unmanageable. I like the hair of my dolls sleek, and it would be an insult to my fandom if I didn’t keep my Rapunzel doll’s hair smooth
As for kiddiness, i swear I almost passed as a twelve-year-old so I could get into Disneyworld’s jedi training! But I wouldn’t lie to the Force…
Dude, I totally do that, too. Only I fully intend on having them. I love them.
Kenzie: That is amazing!! I would seriously love to see how they look. I’m such a loser; I collect the ones that most closely resemble Barbie dolls. They have my favorite clothes, you can buy extra clothes, they’re the easiest to maintain, and they’re the cheapest!!
Mayfly: I’m like that, too. The Rapunzel with the stringy(unmanageable) hair is the Disney Store version. I have the walmart doll, and she is perfect!! These are the dolls I have, and I love them!!
My Belle doll is -slightly- different than that. The shiny stuff on her dress only goes in the middle dress, like Rapunzel’s strings. But, this is really close.
Virginia: That Belle looks beautiful! I have the Barbie kinds I think… Rapunzel looks a lot like that Belle there. I just told my mom last night that I know what I want for my birthday wayy in October, and I’m so excited! Belle will be mine
Tsk, yeah! I made it myself. Can you understand the writing?
And by the way, I just had an amazing brainstorm. You’ve wanted a Latina princess, am I right? Well, we can have twelve! Seeing as Disney hasn’t made a Twelve Dancing Princesses movie, they should do one set in Latin America during the days of its early settlement.‘Dosena’ could make a pretty awesome title. What do you think?
Naw, I just checked and they’re not the same. They have almost the same idea though. My hair extension looks identical, and she has the same little brush. The dress is almost the same too, my Rapunzel’s face is just different. I’m trying to find a link… found it!
Katie: That’s the exact Rapunzel I have. I posted the one I did because I didn’t want to take a picture of mine, and the Walmart one was pretty similar. I have the same doll as yours.
