I would greatly appreciate it if someone on this forum

who’s actually seen “Under the Hood” (ABC Family special) found packed on

Walmart’s “special” 2 Disc DVD tell me exactly what it’s all about.

I guess I wasn’t able to

catch it on television. So I’m not certain as to what “Under the Hood” is all about? Is it about the

“making of cars” or a short animated film? I pretty much can’t decide whether to keep Walmart’s

edition or Target’s exclusive edition DVD.

For those who’ve seen both or even just one of the bonus

DVD, how was it?

Target’s bonus DVD???

Walmart’s bonus DVD???

Note: I

intend to only keep one. I need some help/input into which I should keep. Thanks.

Under The Hood was the “making of Cars” special

on ABC Family hosted by John Ratzenberger, but it wasn’t as captivating as anything on the Target disc. If you

insist on keeping only 1 bonus disc, stick with that one. It contains a heck of a lot more behind-the-scenes

material than the Wal-Mart disc, which focuses mostly on the music.

And welcome to Pixar Planet!

The Target disc had a lot of the stuff I’d have expected

to be on the regular release. It still wasn’t enough, but it was more than I had, and it’s great. I’m picking

the wal-mart one up tonight.

I’d go for what

ever is cheaper.

I picked up the Wal-Mart bonus disc today, and while it’s good, it pales in comparison to the Target disc.

There’s just so much more in that release, plus you get a free pin.

I’m also slightly bothered that both

of these discs were done in a letterbox format. Meaning, instead of ACTUALLY being widescreen, they’re presented

in a full-screen format with the black bars at the top and the bottom. This means to get the picture to fill the

screen on a widescreen TV, you have to zoom in and you lose some picture quality. If you don’t zoom in, there’s

black bars at the top, bottom, left, AND right. Not a huge gripe, but worth mentioning.

Thanks for all the input.

PixarVixen, thanks for

the kind welcome. Appreciative. PixarPlanet is great. Very informative arena.

Eggwolio, thanks for the

superb update.

The Star Swordsman, I’m definitely leaning towards the Targetrelease even though it’s

approximately $5.00 more expensive than Walmarts especially hearing PixarVixen’s and Eggwolio’s input.

Now that I look back on the poll; it sort of doesn’t really make all that much sense. I’m like,

there’s two “questions” of sort. I guess it should really have been which one was more enjoyable (or

something to that extent), Target’s or Walmart’s. BUT I guess I can still interpret it in various ways.

Plus, (fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how one views it) I’ve

also recently managed to pick up the DVD tin can down at Blockbuster.

Fabulous product. But now it’s

like do I do I stick with Target’s (bonus disc) or Blockbuster’s (exclusive tin can). It’s roughly $2.00 more

expensive down at blockbuster, but no bonus supplemental DVD material. I know that it’s simply a marketing ploy

to boost respective sales, but couldn’t they simply have had these “exclusive” items for sale by

themselves? Just wondering, and very curious. I think that would be better for the fans, not having to purchase

multiple copies of the same exact DVD simply for extra materials/products.
