Terry Gilliam? As in the American Monty Python member?
A Python at Pixar?
No way!
This has got to be a joke?
If it’s true… Mr. Lasseter, get on the phone; there’s your director for one of the 2014 releases!
He’s directed 12 movies. He’s not just a guy who was in Python.
I think this would be great. His movies always have a very creative center, but the story and execution certainly could be better.
I actually did know he later became an independent movie director, though the rest of Monty Python did make cameos in some of them, like Time Bandits. It’s just that he’s probably best known for the cartoons throughout Monty Python.
No, he is best known for Brazil, 12 Monkeys and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. He was also nominated for an Oscar for writing Brazil.
And music from the soundtrack of Brazil was used in the WALL-E trailer.
Funny; of the three movies you listed, I’ve only heard of 12 Monkeys, which I haven’t heard too much about.
Also haven’t seen the trailers for WALL-E in a while, so I wouldn’t know.
Terry at Pixar?! Wow. It would almost be like half my world coming together. Although I can only imagine what kind of film Terry would make if a director’s position is what he wants.
It would be wild, no doubt of it. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus comes out at Christmas…
