Iām sorry if you felt I was blaming you, I wasnāt. Itās just, I felt the only reason you would apologize for it was because it was bad . If someone sends you something you want to reply to, make sure you reply to them in a way that you donāt feel the need to do so. Like you said, two wrongs donāt make a right. I donāt know what TSS said, but that really doesnāt matter.
Iām writing these things because I want to help you, not because I want to lecture you. Unfortunately, the road to reconstruction is rarely an easy one. Great, now Iām starting to sound like a fortune cookie. Anyway, I have anger problems sometimes too. But in the end, only ourselves can truly help us.
Well, I am sorry, again, but I will have to insert yet another⦠āexcuse,ā if you will, for my manner of reacting towards your comments. My eyes had been burnt by too many flames in my life (regardless of their starter), so much so that I could no longer differentiate what is filled with ill-thoughts and what is not. Sociopathic, if you will. It might seem like an excuse for me to escape whatever nonconstructive punishment you people might have in mind, but if you would mind your words and really post with the best of intentions, there really isnāt any need for such excuses to be recognized.
Again, itās not really an issue of anger to be considered here. Anger is merely triggered by thoughts triggered by different acts of people. If one is truly decent, even faced with a tempered soul, he or she would be kind enough to calm the creature down and turn it into something great. Now that is constructive, and that is how world peace could be achieved.
That I can understand, and relate to. I am the youngest of four, and all of my sisters where great at what they do. What does that mean? Expectations. I am really mad at my dad these days, I just feel that he blows the smallest thing out of proportion. When Iām mad at him, I can really be a real jerk to my friends. Itās worse with people that donāt know me that well, since they are pushed away before they can get to know me. I also have the tendency to want to get back at people who insult me, and I can come up with some really catty comments.
And I feel we all get a little carried away with what I call the āfreedom of the keypadā, since we arenāt afraid to say things that we would never say in person (If you have seen some of my comments on political boards, youāll know what I mean) because we donāt know the person, they donāt know us. They canāt really do anything to us, contrary to what people can do if we say them in person, physically and socially.
Well, itās good that youāve apologised, WBoon. Just read through stuff before you post it, because then that gives you an oppurtunity to change things before hitting the āsendā button, if you see what I mean. Then you wonāt do anything that you regret. Itās something I always do, just to make sure that Iām saying what I want to say, as opposed to just saying how Iām feeling at the time.
Heh, Nexas. Itās alright, itās stuff best not talked about in the future.
Looking back at this really brings back some memories. I know that my post here is no longer involving the intention of seeking advices, but I would just like to say that itās really great how Iām still able to thrive in a community for the first time after making mistakes as grave as such.
Well, Iāve been given a lot of opportunities to change before in other forums as I have been given here, so Iām not going to neglect this one. Iāve created a lot of significant damage, but I hope Iām given time to repent and, if possible, repair.
Thanks, guys (and gals), for being supportive once again. Hope I can make a difference to this community positively this time.
No more sulking, pouting and rude behaviors. WBoon is back in the Pixar fandom!
Twilight would be good, of you can stand to sit through it. Australia, I havenāt seen it but I know it has action and romance so neither of you would be totally bored. If you wouldnāt mind and your date wouldnāt mind, Bolt might be a fun, casual movie if you guys are more of friends then an item.
I need advice. I broke my wireless usb tab thingy last night and need a new one to get on the internet (Iām on my sisterās laptop right now). A new one would cost $40, admittedly not that much but still a good sum of cash. Now, my sister will be getting a new laptop from her college in atleast two months from now, so I would get this one that has built in wireless. I have two choices:
-Buy a wirless thing for $40 until I get this computer.
or
-Wait months internetless for this one.
I could do the latter, but my sister is a busy lady (homework) and spends most of her home hours working. My only solid hours available with this one would be 4-7 when sheās doing her sport. I have my own work and worry this may not be enough. What should I do? I donāt want to spend all that money for only a few months of internet, but need the internet for my schoolwork.
Iād say just try out using your sisās laptop for for a few days or a week, and see if it works out alright. If not, Iād out the $40 down. You ulitmately have to decide if internet access is worth the $40, and only you can know that. Just my two cents, hope it helpds.
$800US? NO. Those files are still saveable, and $800 is too much. They are RIPPING YOU OFF.
You need to reinstall windows, which will cost $100 at most, but as i said, you need to save those files first. Could you give me some info about this $800 scanner? Iāll be able to tell if its a scam or not.
I need technical information more than advice,at the moment, but I donāt want to create another thread.
My computer is suffering an overheating problem. I donāt want to replace it, and I donāt want to take it apart. Anyone know a cheap but effective solution?
Well, I was just browsing the internet on my dadās computer, as usual, when suddenly a new window popped up stating that the computer had contracted the āTrojanā virus. Iāve heard about this thing, and I take it that itās not good. My dadās computer is a MacIntosh OS X version 10.4.11, and itās remained in excellent condition for years. Now that Iāve gotten a warning stating that the system is currently harnessing a virus, Iād like to get rid of the perpetrator as soon as possible.
My question is this: How do you access the C and D drives on a MacIntosh?
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out where the panel for accessing these drives is located, no matter what I do. When I got that message stating that a virus had been contracted, the window which showcased these drives popped up automatically, and now I canāt figure out how to get them back up again. I never haveā¦
If it makes any difference, I went to the Live Journal website when this warning materialized onto the screen; however, when I deleted the āwarningā box/window, I went back to Live Journal to see if it was the cause of the virus⦠and nothing happened, so I guess it wasnāt the website that did any damage.
Help?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide me with any assistance!
Mitch: Are you sure it wasnāt just a fake pop-up ad? If it were real, it wouldāve had the logo of a reliable virus-protection software that you have. If not, itās nothing to worry about.
Hmm. Well, if it was in an Internet window, then youāre probably safe.
If youāre very worried, download AVG Anti-Virus and do a scan. Itās the virus scanner I use, and itās better than a lot of commercial ones. If it says thereās nothing, I wouldnāt be too worried.
STOP! My sister got a virus on her computer a while back and it never recovered. It ended up crashing for good. It was a box that came up, with the logo, saying it found a virus and wanted to do a scan. Even if you press no it downloaded onto your computer and takes control of EVERYTHING. Watch it!
