Who owns any of these books? They’re expensive and
extremely hard to come by (in my area anyway), but worth purchasing if you can locate any of them.
Each
book is full of gorgeous concept art. I look at mine all the time. They’re great for reference and
inspiration.
I have The Art of The Incredibles and The Art of Cars. I was given The Incredibles for my
birthday last year, but Dash gave me a copy of Cars when he came to visit before we departed to North Carolina
this summer.
I saw the books for Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo at a bookstore 45 minutes from my house,
but that was months ago. I hope they’re still sitting on that shelf when I go back this
weekend.

I have two books. The Art of the Incredibles, and A Bug’s Life. My uncle is
considering giving me another one, signed by Brad Bird.
Sweet! I have one signed by Brad…and Michael. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

I’d love to have
The Art of A Bug’s Life. That must be impossible to get ahold of now.

Yeah. 95% of them are of The Incredibles and
Cars.

Well
I know there is a gift shop located in Pixar. Maybe they have it there.
I just have the Art of Finding Nemo one. I really wanna get the Art of Cars one but I havent
found it at any stores. I guess I’ll have to order it online. (or have the bookstore order it…) I really like
the book a lot. I loved seeing all the concept art, especially the pencil and charcoal drawings!
I’ve got Art of
Cars (Filled with beautiful paintings and fascinating sketches), and I intend to hunt down at least the
Incredibles one, but ultimately get all of them.
I know of them, but I don’t have any, unfortunately.
I’d love to get ALL of them,
but right now, I’m more concentrated on getting my 2-Disc DVDs first (and UTB when it comes to the
Toy Story’s).
Each art book should be found on Amazon or Ebay. They
incredible artwork.

I LOVE the Art of books… because I love conceptual design. I just think it’s
really interesting to see the characters evolve and you can track when certain ideas came into play. I own The
Art of Finding Nemo and The Art of Monster’s Inc.
Finding Nemo is more serious… it has more words and
the overall style is very realistic, lots of charcoal drawings. It’s still a fantastic read and it’s very
inspirational but I personally like the Monster’s Inc. one better.
If you read reviews, people will tell
you they were disappointed with the lack of text in Monster’s Inc. but I’d personally rather have pictures. The
art from Monster’s Inc. is very stylized and modern and since they are pure imagination, I found it very
amusing. You can also see great changes in their preliminary sketches… Sully especially.
I bought both
of my books from Amazon.com which btw is my lifeline. Heh. It’s cheaper there too, when I go to my
Barnes&Noble it’s $40 compared to $25 on Amazon. I’m hoping to get Art of: Incredibles and Cars this
Christmas.
I checked out Amazon.com to see which “The Art of __” books are still
available, and Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo both are! Monsters, Inc. is $25.20, and Finding Nemo is $26.40.
Now where’s my credit card…

*sharp intake of
breath* Not exactly cheap, huh!
Oh come on, it isn’t all that bad.
But I really must save my pocket money for
some hair curlers!

Yes! I found the Art of Cars at this store called Joseph
Beth Booksellers! Only it was a lot more expensive than what Amazon seems to have. It was $40! Plus my mom wants
it to be a Christmas present for me. But I did get to look at it a little and it’s so cool!
My Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo "Art of
__" books arrived in my garage today (don’t ask why it was the garage LOL) just 2
days after ordering them, and I didn’t even request for faster shipping!
Gosh. I can’t
decide which one I like better. They’re both marvelous.
