The Art of little_chef (and her sis)

Aww, i really like your New Year’s picture! It’s really good! I think your getting pretty good with those pens. It looks like Hans and Lina are each others dates to the prom and this was that picture that people always keep like, forever  Was that what you were aiming for, or was it just a picture of them all dressed up?

I love this picture too!

Wow, you are quite the artist little chef, very nice.

Princess_Darkness: Thank you very much!

JustSoWall-eCrazy: Hehe, thank you!

mo: I didn’t use my pens on the pic of Hans and Lina, I “inked” it all in the computer. And about the date to the prom thing… uhh… Hans and Lina are half-siblings… But I see what you mean and yeah, I guess it could kind of look like that… minus the corny props and balloons.

Hannahmation: I actually had a finger showing on her hand at one point, but it looked really awkward to me (even though I was referencing a picture of my own hand), so I left it the way it was. I probably could have put more effort into making it look better, but my concentrated effort went into Hans’ hand - at least I’m getting myself to actually DRAW hands, cuz I’ve stayed completely away from them for years. Thanks for the critique though, it always shows me where I can improve next time.

lizardgirl: I’m glad you think it looks nice; for the short amount of time it took me to do this, I’m surprised it didn’t turn out a complete piece of crap. I’m proud of the color choices in this, as I wanted it to remain almost monochromatic with some soft color here and there. And with Hans’ and Lina’s hair and eyes being so pale, the black/whites and light blue accents really added a nice touch.

Depending on what’s happened to my computer, and depending on when it can get repaired, all my art has been put on hold as without my computer, Photoshop, my tablet, and my scanner are all out of commission. :frowning: I’m praying I didn’t lose anything, I don’t think I did… but I’m not sure about how long it’s going to take for my uncle to repair the computer.

I’ll be back with more art eventually, though. Promise!

little chef

Oh, well either way, it looks really good!

haha, that would be a tad weird going to the prom with your half-sibling

I hope that whatever is happening to your computer gets fixed, cuz your really good at this and it’d be a real bummer if you had to stop. :frowning:

EDIT: oh, just saw your post in the Current Mood thread. good to know your computer’s alright.

Wow haven’t had time to do a lot of commenting, but I’ve been ‘watching’ you over at dA so that kinda makes up for it…

As far as your latest piece, I really like the composition of it, and like everyone else I also like your choice of colors too…:sunglasses:

I also agree with the critique on Hans’ hand. IMO You probably would’ve been better off placing the fingers closer together. :-D)
…and for some reason to me it seems just a bit too big in relation to his arm.

I gotta admit though, you’re really getting the hang of the digital art thing. Great job so far.

Haha wow, it’s crazy how pretty much the SAME EXACT thing happened to me and my computer. I shut it down one night, and left it off overnight (something I rarely did), and when I tried to turn it back on the next day, it stayed on no longer than 3 seconds and would shut off again.

Coincidentally, I also had to get my UNCLE to come to my rescue, and we spent a few days trying to figure it out. Luckily there was nothing wrong with my hard-drive so all my files were safe. But in the end I wasn’t as lucky as you…

At first we figured it was the power supply, but after trial and error it STILL didn’t fix the problem…so my uncle decided to take it with him to get it checked out. In the end we finally found out my PROCESSOR went bad…so I officially pronounced my 6 year old comp dead…

I’ve decieded to go ahead and move on to a laptop since I was basically the only one using the desktop…

So, hopefully we’ll both be back in a productive mode soon enough…<img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Wink" />

(Sorry about the long post, it was just such a coicidence I had to tell my story…8D)

I’ve just noticed that this thread has been laying dead for quite a long while now, and it hasn’t been updated ever since…

So cute!!! <3 You draw really good!

Thanks so much skunklover! Wow, that’s a really old picture, I’m surprised you even found that…

little chef

Ha ha, well, this thread hasn’t been updated in a while…

Hey guys, remember me? I draw, too!

I haven’t done hardly anything Pixar-related over the past year or so. However, I did draw a few Ratatouille-related pieces earlier this month!

A digital piece I did of Alfredo and his newborn son, Nolan. :3

Alfredo’s mommy, Renata Marieta Linguini.

And finally ~ Nolan Tamil Gusteau a bit grown up!

Oh yeah, and this one… this last one isn’t new. It’s those old Alfredo aging sketches I drew quite a while back, but never ended up finishing. Here’s all the completed sketches I made, though! The artist’s comments tell the full backstory I came up with for him, if you’re interested in reading that, as well. I will warn you - it’s quite long! :stuck_out_tongue:

Comments/constructive critique are love, and so are deviantART comments/faves!

little chef

I remember these! I adore your Ratatouille drawings, especially your depictions of Linguini! He looks much cuter in your style. <3

Wow, you defintely know how to use a pencil! These are fanastic sketches, I love all the detail and care put into them. I’ve always wanted to see what Renata looks like! Good job.

Oh my goodness, for whatever reason I never saw these replies until I was browsing the Fan Art board a little while ago! So sorry for ignoring you guys! D:

I’m glad you liked them, Ratatouille has always been my favorite movie to draw/write about. I’ve been having a hard time drawing these days, but have attempted to make some more Ratatouille-related sketches (ultimately just giving up cuz I hated them). With work and stuff now, it’s so much harder to get back into drawing and harder for my creative juices to flow. I hope to have some more stuff for you to look at soon, but I can’t guarantee it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you both again for the sweet compliments!

little chef

I have some moar arts!

Some older sketches of Alfredo
My newest sketch of Renata
And~ last but not least! The finished picture of Alfredo and Nolan I drew a while back!

I finished that last one today, because it’s Nolan’s second birthday today!

little chef

I’m always impressed by the detail in your artwork! I love how Renata is holding up the Eiffel Tower. I also like the various sketches of Linguini.

Oh my gravy!! little-chef, these drawings are amazing!! Just out of curiosity, how did you decide what Renata looked like? Just a feminine version of Linguini? Anyway, I love these!

IV: Aww, you’re so sweet! Thank you very much!

Back when I designed Renata in '07, I tried to look at different pictures of Alfredo and Gusteau and pick out which features Alfredo got from his father. Once I had a handle on that, I took all the features Alfredo had that I didn’t see in Gusteau, and used them for Renata.

One thing I noticed is that Alfredo and Gusteau actually have very similar eye shapes. I really wish I could show you guys in greater detail and with screenshots, but I’d probably bore you all to death. Anyway, I’ve always drawn Renata with Alfredo’s eye shape, but noticed later on that Gusteau actually had similar eyes, so I had to change Renata’s eyes a little bit. Things like Alfredo’s face shape, eyebrows/eyelids, general body shape, hair, and mouth depending on the screenshot (I also see a lot of Gusteau in Alfredo’s mouth, but only when he’s smiling) - were all used to make Renata.

Hope that explains things, and I’m sorry if I went into too much boring detail. I find the resemblance between Gusteau and Alfredo completely fascinating, and I can’t stand it when Talon Labarthe (Skinner’s lawyer) says he doesn’t see much resemblance between the two. If you really study it, there’s plenty of resemblance! :stuck_out_tongue:

Kenzie: Thank you very much, as well! Detail in artwork is always a pain, but I’m glad it shows through!

little chef

Wow, that’s cool! And I don’t think it’s boring. I like long explanations. Anyway, I really like how you draw her, and thanks for explaining it.

That’s very cool how much you go into detail! I remember I used to try doing things like that, but I never got too far.
I also admire your artwork, you’re amazing. Keep up the good work!
